"Thank you. And I assure you, it is just sleep. I don't get nightmares with him in there."
He nods.
I grab a cup of coffee for myself and walk back upstairs and lay back down with Everette, brushing his hair away from his face.
"You're staring." He whispers, keeping his eyes closed.
"How did you- you know what, I am staring."
"Hmm." He hums in response.
I rest my hand on his bare stomach and I lean back into his embrace, almost falling back asleep.
Leah wakes up a few minutes later and brushes her messy hair out of her face. She huffs at the sight of me and Everette and walks into our bathroom.
Everette gives me a tiny peck on the lips and gets up to walk out. I grab his hand
"What was that?" I ask him
"What?"
"That was not a kiss"
I grab his shirt and pull him down to my face, kissing him again.
"That, was a kiss." He smirks and walks out of my room.
Leah comes back in the room after being in the bathroom for an eternity and is complaining about god knows what.
We're all supposed to go to a party James invited us too a few days ago, I don't even know why I agreed to go. I haven't been to a party ever since we moved to Portland.
I shower and start getting ready.
"What should I wear?" I ask Leah as I stare into my closet.
"Wear that one red dress you wore to that party in New York."
"It'll drive Everette crazy." She adds.
"cool it with the sexual insinuations yeah?"
"Never."
I decide the dress is too fancy and settle on a Plain black leather skirt and White spaghetti strap crop top, also putting a black zip up over top of it. I pull my hair up and wear converse.
I meet Everette in the hallway, he has on Baggy jeans and a t-shirt, as always.
Leah put on a blue skintight dress and a jacket, her hair natural surrounding her head.
"You look good." Everette says to me in the car.
"You don't look horrible yourself..." I retort
He flips me off playfully and Leah gags from the backseat
"Yeah that's what you'll be doing with James tonight" I respond to her gagging.
Everette's eyes widen as he tries to stifle a laugh, and fails. Miserably.
"You bitch!" Leah says and kicks the back of my seat
I laugh and continue humming to the radio.
~~~~~~~~~~Arriving to the party, the house it's in is huge. I assume it's James place but I don't even care.
Everette clings to my side as we trudge through the crowd of people to the kitchen.
Leah and James have already went off to do, well I don't know what they're doing and I don't even think I want to know.
When we reach the kitchen I pull myself up on the kitchen counter and sit, Everette leaned up against the island Infront of me.
