There was no time to waste. Lady Mimic and Super Bean were off on a new objective: find the Time Lords and stop their troublesome, seemingly divine intervention. But to do that, first they needed a lead.
“So where do you think we go from here, Lady Mimic? We have to find these Time Lords and what their deal with us is,” said Super Bean. They were back at HQ, sitting in one of their many stone turrets. This one in particular was their favourite, because it had a perfect view over the grounds and the river and distant forest nearby. They had prepared some grilled cheese for lunch, and of course Kitty was there with her lunch as well.
“Well..” she pondered, “where do we start? All Weedman would tell us is their names, anything more would have been too expensive.”
“That bugger actually wanted double just for a hint of their location. Anyway we also learned that these guys had control of an entire civilization. And we found evidence of that in the temple we explored,” advanced Super Bean, slightly muffled from the mouthful of cheese, butter and bread. “If only we knew someone with knowledge of the Time Lords’ temple who could point us in the right direction. But it’s like you’d have to live in that temple to understand what any of that hieroglyph nonsense means…”
“That’s it!” Lady Mimic stood up.
“Ooh right, the Looper. I’ll bet he can tell us how he got there in the first place. He was a sad and unremarkable person before his villainy. I’ll bet he got help from someone.”
“Then it’s settled,” pronounced Lady Mimic. “The Looper’s hideout is where this trail starts.”
And that was the actual real beginning of the intrepid hero's legendary quest to rid themselves of this time-sapping curse.
After a full night’s rest of eight hours of sleep and a full, hearty breakfast, the dynamic duo were off. They were able to track the location of the Looper’s lair from the saved coordinates on Super Bean’s stellarphone. Lady Mimic and Super Bean were crouching outside the Looper’s main lair, in the decorated sandstone hallway. They had crept cautiously up until now with no hindrance, and were ready to make their move. What their move was exactly, had been properly planned out in advance. They knew they would have to face off against The Looper’s small-scale army of evil robot servants and they would be tough to get by.
“Do you remember the plan?” Lady Mimic quizzed Super Bean.
“Yeah, first we use one of The Looper’s gadgets we stole to cloak us from the robots, we sneak right past them, and we cover his mouth with this face mask and drag him into the nearest room to interrogate him.”
“Good, I think we’re ready.”
“It’s showtime.” declared Super Bean. Although most of the dangerous looking technology our heroes had snagged from The Looper’s lair the previous episode was simply for evil torture purposes, it just so happens that one of the gadgets was specifically designed to emit an unnatural frequency of light that jams most robot’s motion detectors, essentially blinding them. Lady Mimic and Super Bean knew these things from their extensive education, before they were accepted to the League of Heroes. They were already tech pros and The Looper was entirely clueless.
They entered The Looper’s gadget room to find the lights off and nothing interesting, so they pressed forward. When they entered the sketchy room with all the tubs of clear red liquid, once again they found the lights off.
“Did The Looper skip town?” Super Bean wondered out loud. They lowered their guard slightly (you know what's coming). They walked into the room containing their cell and suddenly a sudden explosion blew the two heros off their feet and into the back wall. It all happened very suddenly. A heavy cloud of brown dust, presumably from the sandstone all around the base, had filled the room making it difficult to see.
