The first time

Josette's POV

Lately things between and Melo were not good

He's been extra paranoid for no reason and barely lets me do anything

These were the same red flags that I had with Montez and I'll be dammed if I deal with this shit again

"We need to talk" I said to Melo as I stood in front of the TV

I watched as he nodded then turned the tv off

Melo: "well?" He asked as I sat across from him

"I don't like where we're at right now...the possessiveness is too much for me"

I watched as he sighed

Melo: "I'm sorry but something is off Josette..I can feel it. I just don't want anything to happen to you"

"I'm pretty sure nothing is gonna happen if I go shopping, out to eat, or literally breathe on my own for a while"

Melo: "you're right and I'm sorry if I've made you uncomfortable" he said as he bit the inside of his cheek

That was something he did when he lied

I just sighed and shook my head

Melo: "do you trust me?"

"Of course"

Melo: "then why can't you follow the two rules I have?"

I scrunched my face up before sucking my teeth and leaving out

Melo: "Josette!" He called out as he followed me

"I need to be alone for a while" I said as I walked to my car

Melo: "where are you going?"

I rolled my eyes before starting the car and leaving

The only place I could think of going was to the mall so
That's where I headed to

About 30 minutes into me driving I noticed I was being followed

I assumed it was melo's stupid ass because he hasn't let me out of his sight in weeks

I rolled my eyes as I pulled into the malls parking lot

The car pulled up right next to me in the lot

I rolled my eyes when I seen who got out

"Perfect" I said as montez got out of the car

He just rolled his eyes and opened his trunk as I grabbed my purse from the backseat

Montez: "you can't avoid me forever; this city ain't big enough so we're bound to see each other"

"Please stop talking to me" I said as I shut my car door and locked it

Montez: "where yo little guard dog?"

I didn't reply Because I had no interest in this conversation

I tried to walk away but he grabbed my wrist

"Dude get the fuck off of me" I said as I tried to snatch my arm back

Montez: "no, you're gonna fucking listen to me for once" he said as he yanked my wrist
