"Ah~ you have such a nice place, Seohee." Baekhyun praised as they all looked around once they have already finished unpacking and arranging her things in the house. They are now eating the breakfast that Kyungsoo had prepared for all of them.
"Can we hang out here during our free-time? Our house gets lonely." Kai whined.
"There are nine of you in the house. How can it get lonely?" Seohee shot back in an unexpected manner as a little smile managed to escape from her lips.
"Well, we rarely get to see each other when our schedule for class and part-time jobs start." Suho said in defense.
"That's true. Kyungsoo is the only one who gets left behind in the house because he'd rather study in his room than go out and mingle with other people." Yixing added, which earned him a confused look from Kyungsoo.
"Oh well, I guess I could use some company." She said, finally giving into their request.
"Did you see that, hyung? She completely put down her wall when Yixing hyung mentioned Kyungsoo hyung." Kai whispered to Xiumin. "I think she likes him too."
"Are you free this afternoon?" Kyungsoo asked all of a sudden, which made everyone grow quiet.
"I'm not quite sure... why?" She replied.
"Nothing. I just thought you might want to spend the afternoon with me at the library. You know... to get used to all the reading we'll be doing in our course." He said.
Baekhyun picked up his phone and chatted on the separate group chat they made for Kyungsoo and Seohee.
Operation KyungHee
bacon: why is he such a nerd?
yeol: someone pull him out of the nursing course, now!
doc myeon: calm down guys he'll get his way around this
baozi: sure, if he doesn't get rejected
maknae: seriously, that's the worst way to ask a girl out
jonginnie: i mean who goes out to the public library these days
baozi: @jonginnie nerds like kyungsoo and suho
doc myeon: that's not nice hyung ㅠㅠ
zhang_yx: but tbh the girl likes him too
jongdae: wow, you guys are very discreet about this huh
jongdae: chatting while those two are just here with us
"Is there something we're missing out on?" Seohee asked as she looked at them. The boys apart from Kyungsoo all gazed at her and quickly put their phones away.
Xiumin was the first one to stand up. "I had a great time here Seohee but I really have to go. I need to finish my thesis as it's already due once the classes resume again." He said. "See you next time!" Then he took his cue to leave. The other guys also started saying their goodbyes. Seohee wanted to stop them as she was enjoying their company but they looked determined to leave so she just kept quiet and waved them goodbye.
"They left us." Kyungsoo mumbled then shook his head in disbelief. He took a sip from his hot choco, his gaze meeting hers.
"Did you really mean what you said back there in the library? It's just that..." Seohee asked. He just stared at her, waiting for her to continue.
"It's just so surreal that someone actually liked my work." She continued.
"Well, I can't write for the love of God so yours is ten times much better than mine - that is, if I ever tried to write a novel." He said in a soft voice, giving her his smile once again.
