"Yeah but damn was she tight." One grunted- Tim I think his name was.

"She was last time too." Gideon snorted blowing a puff of air. I rolled my eyes and heard the faint buzz from the stig as I took a drag. "I wonder though why she didn't commit with me? I tried but I've been failing to hold a stable relationship. I don't know." He sighed running a hand through his head.

Aaron shrugged with a smirk. "Maybe it's because you weren't made for those shits." My ears perk up and so does my demeanour.

Everybody's eyes shift to me as I blow up a puff of smoke. "Aaron's wrong." I stated watching each of them glance at each other while Mercer remained nonchalant. "I think the problem with you Gideon- personally is that you need to define what a relationship is to you. Cause from where I'm sitting it sounds like you blur the line from commitment and just sex."

The boys snorted around me laughing but Gideon hushed them up. "I'm listening." He grunted twisting his cigarette and giving me his utmost attention.

I glanced around the crowd and cleared my throat shooting my eyes from Aaron to Gideon. "Well as I said how would you define a relationship?"

Gideon thought for a while before shrugging. "Sex? Gifts and love?"

I smiled at him trying. "Sex is just a fraction. Sometimes it's not even there. Girls don't always want to be used for pleasure. There are other things they expect too like love, loyalty, attention , honesty and perseverance. You can't expect or pressure them and in turn they won't you. Commitment is about loving each other and being there through the worsts. Sometimes the worst part is where people leave. If you truly love her then you'd stay and help her or guide her." I explained. I felt Aaron's stare at me the hardest. As if he was ready to retort any second.

"I got Lily a present for her birthday but she hated that." Gideon grumbled flicking his used joint into the dust bin. I watched it miss and land on the floor. How are boys so bad at aiming? Weren't they thought since birth how to?

Samuel snorted choking on his beer. "What did you get her huh?"

"I got her a phone case."

"You did what?" I exclaimed looking at a shamed Gideon. "Please tell me it was embroidered with her initials or had cute photos of both of you printed on the cover."

He shook his head in embarrassment. "It was a half off one at Walmart for only two dollars."

The boys laughed hooting and rumbling in, slapping their friend on his back while I stared in shock.

"Gideon this relationship does not have a sale on it. You either take- and take it all- or you leave it. Simple as that. The choice is yours." I nodded to him.

"I love her, man. I want her. But I suck shit. She isn't talking to me after that fucking phone case." He scowled leaning back in his booth bench.

I gave him an apologetic smile. "Get her something better. Win her over and have an A game. Let her know you love her."

"How?" He begged looking at me with pleading eyes.

I sighed debating whether to get involved or let him to it himself. A little heads up couldn't hurt. "Lily is in photography. Get her a polaroid or a book full of pictures and cute notes. Girls love the little things. Make her feel special and all."
