It was time. After getting dressed, I glanced at the clock and saw it was already 6 pm. I took a deep breath while staring at myself in the mirror, fixing my hair for the tenth time.

"Y/N, calm down. It's gonna be just like every other time you've hung out with him," Niki assured me.

It was quite obvious that I was really nervous about the date. I just wasn't sure how everything would work out. "But, it's like...not! Do I look ok-"

"You look great, Y/N. Don't worry so much and just go have a good time with George. This isn't anything official, it's just a date," she told me.

George POV

"Is this ok?" I asked Sapnap, gesturing to my outfit.

"Yes, just like the other five outfits you've shown me," Sapnap laughed at me.

I let out a breath of desperation. "This one will do," I whispered to myself, pacing around the room.

"Jeez George, I've never seen you so discombobulated. You're really that nervous?"

"Yes, Sapnap!" I emphasized to him, "What if she doesn't like the date? Or maybe she'll think I'm boring. There are so many things that can go wrong."

"It's ok George, she'll love you," I heard Dream say.

I turned around and saw him standing by the doorway. In all of my nervousness, I hadn't even seen Dream come through the door. "You better go soon George, you're gonna be late for your date."

Y/N POV

I nervously walked downstairs and saw George sitting by the table waiting for me. He looked very anxious which made me giggle a little. He was holding a single red rose and looked up at me when I approached him.

"Hello, Y/N," he greeted, handing me the rose.

I laughed a bit. "You're so cliche," I teased making George even more nervous, "I love it though, it's pretty."

He smiled. "I'm glad. Should we go now?"

I nodded and with that, we drove to a kind of fancy restaurant (like it's not so fancy that you have to wear fancy clothes but it still feels nice). We checked in with our reservation and sat down at a small table.

We both picked up the menus and tried to figure out what we wanted to eat. While I was still looking, I glanced up to see George staring at me.

"Do you need something, Georgie?" I smiled.

"Yes," he responded, "I need to tell you that you look...nice today." I could tell he felt kind of awkward trying to compliment me but in my opinion, it just made him even cuter.

"You look nice as well," I complimented back.

For the rest of the date, we just talked and tried to get to know each other better. It was surprisingly very peaceful and it was refreshing to sit down with him and chat. Even though I was really nervous before, now I felt comfortable and obviously very happy.

After we finished eating and fighting over who would pay the bill (I lost), we drove back home, still talking. Once we got back, we stepped out of the car and stood there for a little, looking at each other.

"Uh, I had a good time tonight," I told George, smiling.

"Me too," he agreed, "It was a lot of fun."

He subtly moved closer to me, and he caught me in his gaze which I quickly got lost in. It was just like...just like in the library, with Dream. Dream
