Creativities Dead End (Book 2, series 1) Apocalypse Au

The rain poured all throughout breakfast and into lunch. It stopped mid afternoon however. A lot of the campers went back outside to explore and look over the land that was finally turning green. 

Everyone was mostly happy it had rained. They needed it.

But the day's happy beginning was about to come to a fast close…

Elliot had decided to go for a walk and had wandered off down the road...alone. Nobody had stopped him however. They didn't even realize he had disappeared...

 Elliot adjusted Nikolai's headband on his wrist. He remembered the day Nikolai died vividly. It always made him sad. "Nikolai…" El mumbled. "I miss you…"

He walked about a mile before the one thing the camp had warned about became reality. 

Elliot was cornered by Julius and Jay. Julius punched him in the throat causing Elliot to fall to the ground, coughing. 

"Hello!" Julius exclaimed. 

Julius continued to beat him down so he didn't get back up. He took his knife and stabbed Elliot on the upper thigh.

"Goodbye!" Julius cooed.

El screamed in pain.

Julius turned to Jay. He placed a gun in his hands and stood behind him. "Shoot him." 

Jay held the gun and trembled. "W-What-"

"Shoot him. If you don't care about him, it should be easy." Julius said softly, almost reassuringly. "Point the gun at his head… and shoot."

Jay looked at Julius before pointing the gun at Elliot. His mind was running with thoughts and doubts.

El looked up and choked on his breathing, "Headband… Ni...kolai-" Elliot moved slightly only to be kicked in the side by Julius. "AAgh!" He yelled in pain.

Jay tensed, "Ju-Julius-" 

Jay couldn't do it… Jay hesitated before running off.

"Jay!?" 

Julius quickly ran off. "Jay!" 

Elliot was left on the ground, struggling. He thought this was the end. This was his deathbed in the middle of an old forgotten road in the middle of nowhere…

"Are you okay?" A voice asked. Elliot looked over to see a young woman stumbling out from the woods. "I saw what they did to you-"

"Jay!" Julius yelled, skidding to a stop behind Jay…. Only to realize Jay was now cornered by a camper.

"Jean- Listen-" Jay started. 

Jean noticed Julius. "You… you are taking care of him…?" She interrupted.

Julius narrowed his eyes, "What's it to you…"

Jean put the gun down. "There's still good… you could still be a good person…" Jean stated with a smile. "You are taking care of him- You could join us. You have good in you…"

Julius grabbed Jay's gun and pointed the gun at Jean. Jean's eyes widened. There was a moment of silence. 

"You don't have to shoot…"

"Jay…. Go…" Julius whispered. 

Jean suddenly dropped her gun. Julius panicked.

"Wait!" Jay yelled right as the gunshot went off. Blood shot from Jean's chest onto Jay and Julius and suddenly everything went silent.
