Chapter 30: The Maze

"I do not! Here" He hands me a pair of trainers that look extremely comfortable; my normal shoes are fine, but not for running around in a Maze for hours.

I put on a Runner's harness (with an embarrassing amount of help from Minho) and pack my stuff into it. After a quick stop off at the Kitchens to get food, Minho and I head to the Maze entrance.

When I approach, I see Alby, Newt, and Gally waiting for us.

"You took your time getting ready" Newt says, smiling.

"Yeah, it was because this shank here doesn't know how to put on a bloody harness" Minho laughs.

A blush forms at my face.

"Good luck in the Maze, Liv" Alby smiles and shakes my hand, and Newt does the same.

"See you later, princess" Gally hugs me. When he lets go of me, I peck his lips.

"Bye, guys!" I yell, as Minho and I take off running.

"I LOVE YOU!" Gally shouts.

"I LOVE YOU TOO!" I reply.

We turn a few corners, before Minho stops.

"How are you feeling?" he asks.

"I'm good. We've only been running for a few minutes. My stamina isn't that bad!" I roll my eyes.

"I'm surprised you haven't stopped to get a good look at the Maze yet. I thought you would be interested"

"I was busy thinking about, uh, other things" I admit.

"Gally?" He raises an eyebrow. "Thought so" he says, smirking, when I don't reply.

I roll my eyes and continue running. Minho catches up with me.

We had been running for a couple of hours now. Minho suddenly takes hold of my arm, bringing me to a halt.

"Yes?" I ask.

"Are you happy with Gally?"

"What kind of question is that?! Of course I am! I love him and- and he loves me"

"You don't seem sure that he loves you"

"Of course I'm sure!" I snap, then storm off. Minho had no right to ask me these things. It's none on his business.

"Olivia!" Minho calls, but I just ignore him. "You don't know where you're going!"

"I marked it down, didn't I? And you cut the vines" I roll my eyes and continue walking, doing my best to go back the way we had came.

"Liv, I'm sorry. I was just... uhh... trying to break the silence. I never usually have someone with me, so-"

"It's fine. Just promise you'll shut up about my relationship?"

"I promise"

I smile. "Ok, then. Let's carry on" Minho shares my smile at my words.

We run around the Maze for about another hour, then start going back.

"Race you!" I laugh.

"You don't know your way! There's no way it will end well"

I smirk.

"What?" he asks.

"If you thought you would win, then you would have no problem racing me, because you would be ahead the whole time, so I would just follow you"

"Oh, for shuck's sake!"

I giggle.

"Fine. You asked for it" He picks me up and throws me over his shoulder, then starts walking. I can't get free of his grip, which really frustrates me.
