Usually, mornings were Han Jisung's least favorite thing. The way sunlight was able to sneakily make its way past a tiny crack between the curtains, causing the whole room to lit up, annoyed the boy to no end. He didn't care if it was good for the human brain and body to wake up because of natural lighting, it is also good to sleep eight hours a night. Which scientific study was he supposed to believe? Nevertheless, today was actually starting off as a good day for him.His mother had come home very late the night before, to which Jisung had nearly wept tears of joy. He'd asked her to come sleep in his room with him and he'd given his dad an evil chuckle when his mom agreed without a second thought. Mr. Han pretended to be offended, but he just smiled to himself as he knew his wife would be beside him the next evening.
So when Jisung woke up and found himself still cuddled into his mother, he sighed in content. It'd been a week since the whole debacle and he'd seen his therapist twice in that timespan. Some things were discussed that actually made a lot of sense to the boy. As he was rather alone and constantly missed his mother, his mind basically tricked itself into creating a person that could fill her space whilst she was away for work. Or at least, that could potentially have been one of the reasons for Minho to resemble Jisung's mother so much. Of course not in the way he looked —Jisung still wasn't sure why the boy had looked the way he did, but in a way he'd made the boy feel safe and warm.
Over the course of the past week Jisung hadn't lied about his thoughts once; he missed those feelings. Of course he missed Minho as well, but he was trying very hard to tell himself that you can't miss someone that isn't real. He almost had a panic attack the night before because when he opened his Instagram, Minho's face was the first thing he saw. His mind was still playing tricks on him, so he'd quickly closed the app, but not before unfollowing the account... you know, just in case.
As silently and sneakily as he could, Jisung wormed himself free from his mother's grasp, who thankfully continued her well deserved rest. He couldn't imagine the stress he was putting onto her whilst she also had to continue working her ass off. He headed down the stairs before passing through the livingroom and entering the kitchen. Jisung got out the rice cooker as he decided to make breakfast for him and his parenrs. Due to the abrupt ending of his little sisters' fun adventures last week, Miss Kwon had taken them out this weekend as well. It caused the house to be more silent than usual, Miss Kwon would normally already be up and about doing whatever it was that she'd do.
After the boy had cut up some vegetables he heard two sets of footsteps coming down the stairs.'Perfect timing.' Jisung thought to himself as he poured two cups of coffee, alongside a cup of green tea for himself. As he turned around, coffee cups in hand, he was greeted by his parents.
"Good morning! I prepared breakfast, have a seat."
"Oh that's so lovely, thank you sweetheart." His mother replied warmly as she took a seat at the dining table. His father greeted him as well before sitting down beside his mother. After putting down the final bowls filled with greens, Jisung joined them, sitting in front of his parents.
"Do you have any plans for the weekend, son?" His dad asked as he stuffed his face with rice.
"Not really. I think Seungmin wanted to hang out tonight, but I haven't heard the details from him yet."
"Alright, you and him both know he's more than welcome to come." His mother said with a smile, to which Jisung just responded with a nod as his mouth was filled with food.
For the rest of breakfast, he listened to his parents talk about their work, as they usually would. He understood some things, but he let everything he didn't care about wash over. The occasional chuckle could be heard coming from the son of the family when they'd mention a funny story about one of their coworkers, but for the most part it was boring adult stuff.
