Adrien woke up feeling happier than he had ever been. He had the best night of his life, after all. Adrien admired his girlfriend as she slept peacefully naked in his arms. He smiled at the thought that his college dream had come true. Not only was he sharing a dorm with the girl he loved, but he now got the chance to call her his.
Adrien couldn't believe he had been so lucky as to get Marinette to forgive his past. Let along have her willingly lay here in his arms.
Adrien finally felt like he was worth something. Marinette made him feel like he could be a better version of him. Adrien wanted to make her feel proud of him. For many years Adrien felt like he was nothing but a disappointment, but not anymore. Marinette always had the ability to make him feel worth something, cared for, and most importantly, loved.
Adrien never thought the day would come where he felt as happy as he did now. For the first time in years, he was content being himself. He was over the moon being with Marinette. Sadly the happiness was short-lived.
Adrien's happiness faded, and a frown appeared on his face. His heart stopped as his phone rang, and the picture of his cold, heartless father appeared in the background. Adrien already had an idea of the reason behind this call. This could not be good.

The delicious smell of bacon and eggs woke up Marinette from her deep sleep. It smelled just like when Adrien would stay over, and her mom would make breakfast just for them. She remembers her mom telling Adrien needed to eat more and forget the ridiculous model diet. There were a few whispered sentences after that about him being healthy for the wedding, but Adrien made sure never to tell Marinette about that.
Her smile grew as her eyes landed on her loving boyfriend setting up the table for them to eat. Marinette was quick to get up, blushing as she saw she was undressed. Marinette smiled wider as she remembered the night prior. It was by far the best night of her life.
Marinette quickly got dressed, still blushing as she continued to think of the prior night. Adrien had done things to her, no one else ever could. It was amazing.
"Good morning, Kitty," Marinette called out, walking towards him and pecking his lips. Adrien smiled and held on to her waist before she could walk away. "I'll need more than that, Princess," he whispered seductively, pulling her in for a more passionate kiss.
Marinette felt her heart flutter. It was no secret only Adrien could make her feel this way. Ever since last night, every single kiss he gave her felt like their first kiss. So passionate, so filled with care and love, and she loved it.
Breakfast went by with minimal conversation, which made Marinette feel oddly confused. He seemed okay minutes ago, so what was she missing?
"Adrien, are you okay?" Marinette asked, placing her fork down. Adrien didn't want to lie to her, but he also didn't want to make her feel uneasy. The truth was that his father's call had troubled him greatly.
Giving her a weak smile, Adrien responded, "All good, M'Lady."
Marinette frowned. She could recognize that smile anywhere. That was his model smile, best known to her as his fake smile.
"Chaton, please," she whispered. She was disappointed in him. Marinette knew that Adrien did not want to alarm her, but the fact that he lied again was undeniably hurtful.
