"So... what're we doing in this weird warehouse?" Chessa finally asked.

Gat quirked a brow, "Um, waiting on transport? They can't just have a bunch of assassins sitting around at Starbucks."

"Why not? Wouldn't that be less conspicuous?"

Gat opened her mouth, closed it, and furrowed her brows, "You've got a point... Hey, 'Tov!"

Molotov's eyes lit up, "Yes, my queen?"

Chessa's eyebrows rose into her hairline, but Gat ignored the weird title, asking, "Why don't we meet in a public place?"

Nonchalantly he said, "More casualties if somebody is targeting us."

Chessa's heart lurched. Right. She wasn't in the bunker anymore. She was in the field, and people died in the field.

"Greenhorn looks scared," Colt noticed.

Chessa glanced from him to the other men noting disapproval on their faces.

"Hey!" Gat admonished. "You--"

Chessa blurted, "Yeah, I am scared."

"Chessa!" Gat hissed. "You shouldn't tell them that. How're they going to respect you if--oh, hello, daddy and big brother vibes. Never mind. You do you. Apparently it's working."

"Are you scared of us, little dude?" Smith asked softly, whipping his long shaggy hair out of his eyes.

"We don't hurt women," Wesson assured her.

"Innocent women," Barrett amended.

"It's not you," Chessa assured them, giving them a tight smile. "I've just never been away from home before, never been in the field, and I just realized how dangerous it is out here."

"What, did you grow up in a bunker or somethin'?" Ruger teased, glancing up from his book.

"Yeah."

All eyes turned towards her then, shock on their faces.

"Your whole life has been spent in a bunker?" Molotov wondered.

Chessa nodded, "Yeah... I kept failing the assassin test but they finally realized I'd make a good House Mother so... here I am."

"Which bunker?" Smith wondered.

"Bunker 51."

"As in Area 51?" Ruger scoffed. "Lady, don't even--"

"It's true," Gat cut in. "We grew up there together."

"There ain't no such thing," Wesson denied.

"Who's Remington?" Barrett asked pointedly.

Gat said, "Commander" at the same time Chessa said, "My dad."

Barrett's eyes widened just a fraction, so quickly most wouldn't have noticed it, but seeing as he was in the presence of those trained to look for such details, everyone in the room noted it.

"They lying?" Ruger asked him.

Barrett shrugged, "Last time I was there Commander Remington was in charge. Didn't know he had a daughter."

"Bunker 51 is real?!" Colt demanded.

"Yeah, it's a military base, idiot. What, did you think the whole thing was a scam?" Gat teased.

"So, you're a Commander's daughter..." Wesson inquired, giving her a lazy grin.

"And a top assassin's daughter," Gat added.
