Madness Ghostface x Reader

"ghost??" I asked eagerly

"that's me" The voice on the other side of the phone said before laughing a bit,

"oh my god-" I said letting out a sigh of relief, "Im sorry I thought you were a prank call."

"it's alright, but why so happy to talk to me?" Ghostface asked curiously.

"I don't know, I haven't really been alone in the house for a while. My Dad is usually always here but now that he's gone I guess I'm just lonely." I replied

"hmm" He trailed off

There was a few seconds of silence before I spoke again.

"So why did you call? You could have just came to my house I honestly don't care-" I was cut off

"who says I'm not at your house?"

Right after he spoke the door bell rang twice.

*ding dong, ding dong*

I jumped a bit, I wasn't expecting that.

"No need to be scared sweetheart Im just playing around with you" Ghostface spoke while also laughing

"Jeez Ghost- stop scaring me" I said my face turning red.

"Look I have to go, But there is something on the front porch for you" He explained before immediately hanging up the phone with a click.

I removed the phone from my ear looking at it before placing it back down on its charger. Why would he give me something?

I slowly walked towards my front door. There was a good chance he was there just to scare me but this time I was ready for it. I placed my hand on the lock before turning it to the left and unlocking it. I took a deep breath before slowly opening the door and peeking my head out to look around. It was dark except for the moonlight shining through the big tree in my front yard.

I saw nobody so I opened the door all the way stepping outside. It was a warm summer night but there was a cool breeze. I took a deep breath smelling the fresh air, I was oddly calm .

I looked down the see a medium sized box with a note on the top.

I bent down and picked up the note, It read

"For you" With a poorly drawn happy face beside it.

I smiled a bit and put the note in my pocket. then I picked up the box and took it inside closing and locking the door behind me. I walked right into the dark kitchen and placed the box on the kitchen table before turning on the light.

I opened the box slowly, I really had no idea what he was going to give me so I was kind of nervous. Not the kind of nervous like your going to get hurt but the kind of nervous you get waiting in line for a roller coaster.

In the box there was a white mask that looked the same as the one he had been wearing the night we met. But it was newer, almost like he had just bought it for me.

I picked it up confused, examining it. It was a cool gift but why?
