She threw her hands up in her face covering it like someone was trying to hurt her and screamed making the light vanish.
"Alina!" I cried dropping to the floor with her I scratched my knees on the ship floor. Ignoring the pain I spoke to her in the darkness "Come on you gotta get up. What happened?"
"Alina! Alina!" Sturmhond screamed.
"Alina!!" That's Mal.
I felt Mal tumble towards us, "Amelia is that you? What's wrong with her?"
"I don't know something happened. I- she needs help."
"Alina? Hey, hey," Mal came.
Alina put the light back after the screeches of Volcra came closer.
I looked around. A Grishas arm tore and was bleeding on the floor. But the Volcra left immediately.
"Tamar! Help him!" Sturmhond yelled.
"Are you alright?" Mal asked Alina, "Are you hurt?"
She was shaking I held her hand.
"Alina? What happened? What did you see?"
She didn't answer focusing on the light.
"She saw something?" Mal looked at me concerned.
"I think? She was so scared. I'm not sure what happened."
"Is she injured?" Sturmhond shouted.
"Just get us out of here!" Mal screamed.
"Oh is that what I should be trying to do?" Sturmhond answered sarcastically.
Way to be supportive.
The Volcra screamed but soon we were exiting the fold. The sun was coming up and the blue sky was out.
"Lights out!"
Alina dropped her hands breathing heavily.
We were dropping towards the ground. Landing.
"Everybody hold on tight! And get low!" Sturmhond shouted.
Mal and Alina hunkered down together as I held on to a piece of the Hummingbird closing my eyes.
"Get ready!"
We fell into the cockpit and we're all huddled together.
At the last moment, Sturmhond fell into it in a tangle of limbs. He fell beside me and Alina.
"This is cozy," he smiled right before we struck the ground with a bone-shattering jolt.
I was thrown at the top of the cockpit and hit my head on the wall.
"Ouch!"
We bounced around roughly over the ground and finally came to a halt.
Water began to flood in the ship.
"You guys alright?" Alina asked Mal and me.
"I'm fine a few cuts. Are you okay?" I asked her.
"For now. Let's get out of here."
Mal and I nodded.
We climbed out falling straight into the water. Tolya and Tamar were paddling free along with other crewmen.
Sturmhond paddled supporting an unconscious sailor on one arm. And towards the shore, we went.
We hauled ourselves out of the water making grunting noises and groans.
"I'm dead," I commented laying on the ground.
Tolya Tamar and sturmhond were helping the unconscious sailor. I didn't bother to look up at anyone as I lay beside Alina.
"He's not breathing. No pulse." Sturmhond said. I crawled over to the man holding his wrist attempting to get his heart rate back.
The man gasped and sat up coughing.
"Oh thank the saints," I sighed laying down closing my eyes feeling the sun rays on my skin. I sighed and sat up.
Sturmhond walked back into the water. Standing knee-deep in the water.
He looked out to the water. No Hummingbird in sight. I kind of felt bad for him.
"What happened back there?" Squallers said angrily.
"I don't know," Alina answered.
"You don't know!?"
"I don't know!" Alina screamed, "I didn't ask to be shoved in the fold! Why don't you ask your captain what happened?"
"She's right," Sturmhond said trudging out of the water. He stripped his ruined gloves off.
Sturmhond then removed his goggles and hat. He made eye contact with me and I stood up immediately.
"What the heck is this?" Mal shouted.
That was no Sturmhond. This man had hazel eyes and blonde hair.
This man was Nikolai Lantsov.
