"Harry Potter....HARRY POTTER!" Dumbledore's voice resounded in the now eerily quite Great Hall and Harry was suddenly aware of the many eyes watching him...with interest...with jealousy...with confusion....with pity...with spite...with curiosity....with-
"Harry Potter!" Dumbledore's voice sounded once again and with a final 'Go Harry!' from Hermione, Harry stood up on shaky legs.
He could feel gazes of every single person present in the Great Hall, on him. Harry looked up at his mentor's face to conclude something....anything....but Dumbledore's face was strangely icy and calm.
The feeling of dread which he had been feeling since the morning, intensified within Harry.
He finally reached to where Dumbledore held the parchment containing his name. His trembling hands reached out to take the piece of paper when-
"Tsk~ any later and you would have gotten yourself signed a death contract..."
Chills ran down Harry's spine as he heard the deep and somewhat annoyed voice right behind him. Harry remained frozen in his spot as the parchment with his name was slipped out of a stunned Headmaster's hands and thrown back into the Goblet.
Suddenly all hell broke loose in the Great Hall at the act.
All the audience who were previously rooted on their spot in confusion and shock, suddenly came back to life as the goblet swallowed back the paper and finally extinguished.
Harry saw Dumbledore looking at the person behind him with wide eyes, the others following his example. It was Mad-eye Moody who took action first and came snarling at the person behind him with his wands out with slowly many others following by.
Once again, Harry was stunned as instead of using him as a shield, the unknown person with swift motions shielded Harry instead with his own body. The man's whole posture screamed authority, dominance and power.
Harry finally broke out from his stupor and struggled against the man's hold on him. The man was firmly holding him against himself but the tightness of his hold did not hurt Harry even once as he struggled to break free.
"Stop."
A mere whisper of the word and not only Harry but Moody along with the other teachers coming their way froze as well. There was no magic or compulsion on the words that forced them to obey the order but the authority and power held within them made a another shiver run down Harry.
He timidly raised his head to examine his capturer only to find the man looking down back at him. The man's whole face was covered in a plain black mask, leaving only his hypnotic green eyes, shining like emeralds in sight. The man had midnight black hair which shone under the light of the candles and lanterns hung in the hall.
And as Harry stared into those jewel like eyes, he felt a mysterious familiarity be known to himself. He had seen those eyes somewhere...those eyes felt like they belonged to someone very familiar to him.
Somehow Harry felt relaxed within the mysterious man's grasp....he felt as if the man was protecting him, caring for him....unconsciously Harry leaned against the man's warmth, stopping his futile struggles. And Harry could tell or more like feel the man's smile at his actions which made Harry blush in embarrassment.
"Now," the man said turning away from Harry still keeping a firm hold on him and facing the crowd. "Where were we again?" the man asked in a mocking voice as the thousands of watching eyes all settled on him.
"Who...?" Harry was surprised to see his headmaster speechless for the first time. Dumbledore always had answers or something to say to everyone but here he stood completely speechless and wary of Harry's abductor.
