Tony watched Steve and you walk into the kitchen, his teasing smile starting to grow. "Well, hello there. Cap. Mr. Cap. How'd you sleep?" You, unlike Steve, were pretty good about Tony's taunts, so without missing a beat you replied, "Not well. I had to hear your loud ass snoring all night. No wonder Pep would rather sleep with me."

Glad you were so quick to respond, Steve got himself some coffee. "Waitasecond, Y/N. She did not say that," Tony argued. "Honey, you really don't know your wife, do you?" You teased, then got breakfast. 

Later that day, you sat against a wall reading a book. You didn't realise it, but you'd activated your power, making you invisible. The other Avengers walked in, all teasing Steve. "You looove him," Natasha taunted. Steve's face was bright red. "N-No, I am not! He's just a good friend!" Clint poked his arm. "Uh huh. A good 'friend.' Okay, Cap." It took all your strength not to laugh as Steve groaned and gave the others the most deadpan look you'd ever seen. "I don't love Y/N. He's my colleague, that's it." 

"Yeah, sure. Whatever, Dorito. C'mon guys, I wanna go get some shawarma. Without the walking window. He said Pep would rather sleep with him."

That Night

Steve walked into your room and sighed. You looked up from your phone and smiled. "Hey handsome. How was your day?" He looked at you exhaustedly. "They won't stop. It's so annoying. How do you just laugh it off?"

You walked over to your boyfriend and sat next to him, tugging him onto your lap. Yes, it looked silly since he was bigger, but neither of you cared. You were together, and that's all you needed. "Well, for one, I'm never serious, so there's that excuse." He nuzzled his face into your neck, giving it a small peck. "Hey soldier." He looked up at your face. "Am I at least your favorite colleague, at least?" The two of you started to laugh. "You heard that?" 

"Baby, I was invisible. I heard it all. You're cute when you're flustered." Steve blushed, making you smile and kiss his nose. "Yeah, like that. I love you, Stevie."

"I love you too, N/N."
