"Bet you can't do it." Gavin states, arms crossed and gaze locking onto you. "I think you're just scared of losing."

Yet again you've come to work only to be haggled by a fellow detective. Over the years you've found a new hobby, one that you do every day. After about three months people began to notice this talent of yours, and constantly they praise that skill. Now that nearly a year has passed your coworkers often ask to see this passion of yours, or they try to make a bet with you.

Learning how to run across rooftops, scale walls, and balance upon moving machinery has turned you into a more valuable asset for the DPD. You've climbed up from being a standard worker and into the model detective that the Captain wishes everyone could be. Time outside of work usually consists of exercising or attempting to reach the top of a new building, and this has only furthered that skill.

"Ah, come on, Reed..." you sigh, becoming tired of him bothering you for the hundredth time this week. "Just let me work in peace. I don't need to prove myself," you declare, focus still on the terminal. "My work shows for itself."

He plants his backside upon the corner of your desk then scoffs at your remark. "Sure you do. Everyone talks about how great your, so called, capabilities to climb buildings are... and to do it all just to chase down a suspect. Why don't you just leave that to Connor? It's all he's good for anyway," he laughs.

You rub the back of your neck, head rotating around as you respond, "because I don't always work with him. Plus, I can do it just as well as any machine that's designed for such a task... And you should really stop hating androids so much. You work with them everyday now."

Gavin leans near your face, a sly looking smirk lacing his features. "Why don't you just, ah, show me what you've got then?"

A heavy exhale leaves your lips. You know that he's going to keep bothering you until he sees, but you'd rather not do anything for someone that consistently makes your life difficult. As you swivel around in your chair you begin to hear light footsteps approach. You decide to pay no mind to whomever is passing by, as you harden your gaze upon the insistent man next to you.

"Don't you have someone else that you can torment with your presence?" the deeper voice questions in annoyance. "Or have you already bothered Connor enough?"

Instantly you recognize the vocals and turn around to prove yourself correct. Standing behind you is Detective Nines, Gavin Reed's partner. He's wearing his usual android uniform, minus his black and white jacket. Eyes of blue are focused upon the man but soon shift to meet (e/c) ones.

"Hey, Nines," you announce with a small smile. "Gavin is just trying to make me prove my skills again."

The man chimes up immediately, "well, if you just fucking show me already then I'd stop pestering you about it, wouldn't I?" A small scoff occurs before he jumps off of the desk and into a stand. "And if you lose then I'll never let you live it down..."

Nines cocks his head slightly, attention switching between the two of you. "What exactly is he trying to make you do, detective?"

"She claims that she can scale buildings and do all sorts of fancy tricks better than you or Connor," Gavin explains with doubt in his tone. "There's no way I'm believing that you can beat Tin-can over here," he exclaims, a thumb motioning to his partner in crime. "I still don't care for androids, but even I know that you're no match in speed and stamina."
