Chapter 48: It's a Crappy Start For the Greenie... Literally

"It will be two minutes. That's all. I promise. I'm sure you'll be able to last that long without me" She ruffles his hair. "I'll come and find you as soon as I've done"

Gally leads Liv to a secluded part of the Glade where not a lot of people go.

"Here. I asked for a pregnancy test, and the Creators sent up a few. There was a note that said do all of them just to be sure" He speaks in a hushed tone, then hands her the small box containing them.

"Thank you. I'm going to put these in our hut. Be right back"

Olivia's Point of View

I hurry back to the Greenie, and see he's still at the Box, crying, while Newt tries, and fails, to calm him down.

"I miss Olivia" he wails.

"It's ok. I'm right here" I wrap him in a hug, and Newt's once scared face turns into a relieved one.

I sort through the new supplies and find some clothes that look his size, then take him to the bathroom so he can clean himself up and get changed (I drew the line at doing that for him).

When he has finished, I take him on the tour of the Glade. When we reach where the Builders are, Gally stops what he's doing and gives me a hug.

"What's this for?" I ask.

"Have you done the tests?" he mumbles.

"No. I had to get straight back to the Greenie. I'll do them tonight. I promise"

"Ok. Tell me the results as soon as you get them, sweetheart"

"I will. I promise"

Once the tour is finished, I introduce him to Hank. Hank seems to like him, which I'm relieved about since he doesn't like anyone except me and kind of Gally.

Time goes quite quickly as I get to know the Greenie who seems so familiar, yet I can't quite place it.

"Are you excited for the Bonfire?" Gally approaches me and gives me a hug from behind.

"You bet" I grin, turning around to face him.

"Have, uh, have you done the tests?" he whispers, trying to hide a smile.

"I haven't had a chance yet. I've been busy all day. As soon as I can, I'll do them. I promise" I say, returning his smile.

"Good. Tell me as soon as you know"

"HEY, GALLY! I NEED YOU!" Alec yells.

"Shit. I got to go. I'll see you later, princess. I love you" He kisses the top of my head.

"I love you too"

He hurries off.

"Is that your booooyfriend?" the Greenie wiggles his eyebrows, smirking.

"Yeah" I admit, blushing slightly.

Gally's Pov

Words couldn't describe how excited I am for the baby to arrive, despite it being months away. I have to keep fighting the urge to smile, resulting in some very weird facial expressions, that people point out.

When it's time for the Bonfire, I go straight to Liv and intertwine our hands. She smiles and looks up at me, then turns her attention back to Alby as he yells at some of the boys to 'light it up'.

"Hey, Olivia. Want a drink?" Minho walks up to us and offers her a jar of my special drink.

"Um, no thanks" she replies.
