Misaka Mikoto POV
"Good morning, Hiyori-san," I greeted her as I sat on my seat.
"Good morning, Mikoto-san," she said shifting her attention from her book to me. "You're early."
"Yeah, I got curious because of the points distribution, so I decided to come earlier."
"You didn't receive any points either?"
I shook my head. Today was July 1st. So, we were supposed to receive our points for the month. Since we had finished the midterms on the first week of June, and the points from the midterms were to be added this month. I had prepared myself to not receive any increase in points because of Ryuuen-kun's experiments but from there to not receive any points at all... It was just weird.
"Good morning, everyone. You all seem anxious. Any particular reason?" Sakagami-sensei asked when he entered the classroom.
"Sakagami-sensei, is there a problem with the system? We didn't receive any points for this month," Nanami-san asked shyly.
"So, it's because that, eh? Well, let's see the ranking."
He put the paper on the board. Class A had now 1004. Class B had 717. We had 552 meaning we only had received five points more than what we'd received in June. Class D's points had raised from zero to 91. A priori each class had received a similar number of points from the midterms. Yet, with because of the points deducted because of our lifestyle our classes points had barely grew. The fact that Class B points decreased instead of increasing was also curious. It confirmed that Ryuuen-kun's attempts to caused damage to their class had been successful.
"Sensei, if our class points are there, then why didn't we receive our allowances?" Kaneda-kun asked.
"Due to a certain problem the school decided to delay the first-year students' points distribution. After the problem is resolved you will get your points. For now, you'll have to content yourself with what you have."
When lunchtime came, I walked over to Ryuuen-kun. He had kept a grin on his face all morning, so I was intrigued as to why he'd be happy after hearing the news Sakagami-sensei shared with us.
"Ryuuen-kun?" I called out to him. "Is everything okay?"
"Kukuku, more than okay, Mikoto."
"Even if we didn't get any points?"
"That doesn't matter for now. What's important is what's going to happen in the next days."
"In the next days... Are you perhaps plotting something?" I leaned closer to him. I didn't like people keeping information from me.
"Kukuku, perhaps."
"I see."
Seeing that I would get nothing from him I texted Kiyotaka to see if I could have lunch with him. He answered almost immediately telling me he was in the cafeteria. I made my way there and quickly got my lunch. Searching for Kiyotaka, Nao's voice reached my ears.
"Finally decided to join us?"
She passed right beside me, a plate in her hands. Not having any idea where Kiyotaka's group was I decided to follow her. After going through several tables, we reached a table with a rather large group of people. Nao sat at the edge of the group and started talking with a girl from her class that I identified as Mutoh Ayumu. I counted the people seated on the table and there was a total of nine persons counting both Nao and Ayumu-san.
"Mikoto!" I turned and near the middle of the table was Kiyotaka calling for me an empty seat by his side.
I quickly went over there and seated beside Kiyotaka.
