WARNING: Swearing, Logos Fighting, and Violenciea
The story of the Wolf Windows. The pain. The suffering. The hatred that the Operating Systems share. Microsoft's weak spot... or soft spot, as I should say. Apple's anger issues and his big ego. Goog...
Microsoft grunted. He hated the fact that he was living in a 2 Bedroom house, but no one else to occupy the second bedroom. He hated being alone. This hate wasn't really anger, but rather, sadness that's unable to be released. He's been working on a project for maybe 3 years now, and nothing has come from his hard work. The constant berating that he receives from Apple never helped over these 3 years. Google Chrome seemed like a good friend for the first year and he even helped Microsoft work on this project of his. But suddenly, Apple talked to Chrome once, and now the Browser refuses to talk to Microsoft at all. But none of that matter at the moment to Microsoft. He slipped down into his basement, which was wrung with bright, color changing LEDs (Microsoft is classy with his workspace). He was on a mission. He sat down in his chair and opened a tab with a HUUUUUGE line of code.
"This is it. One last chance. If it doesn't work this time, then I'll have to try something different..."
Microsoft gently searched through all the code, every number, every letter, every word, sentence, paragraph. After adjusting a few things and looking over the code for 3 WHOLE HOURS, he finally finished and clicked the enter button on his keyboard. He quickly spun in his chair to look at a big machine next to his computer, one huge wire connecting the machine to the computer. The machine was a big glass box with some metal surrounding it. Wires were hidden inside of the metal. Once Microsoft clicked enter, the machine started to glow. It started shaking... but after a few seconds... it stopped. The glow faded and the shaking stopped. Microsoft's ears fall back, and he whimpers.
"What am I doing wrong?!" He yelped, tears starting to form in his eyes. He angrily grabbed at the papers he had next to his computer. He looked over his notes, and snarled. "I'm doing everything right, am I not?!" He shouted. A few seconds later, he tore into his notes with his claws, ripping the papers, and throwing the shreds of paper onto the floor. "DAMN IT!" He snarled, more tears rolling down his face. Then he quieted down, "I- I just want a friend"
........
Suddenly, the machine started glowing, shaking, and it starting whirring like a jet engine, but maybe not as loud. Microsoft's eyes had to narrow because of the bright light. But his excitement was through the roof, all the way to the sun. Slowly, something light blue started forming inside the glass box, and although Microsoft barely saw it, he gasped in amazement. A few seconds later, the light blue thing formed into four floating squares, connected together by some invisible force. Little limbs formed and a face slowly appeared as well. A whole minute goes by, and finally the light fades. The machine calms down, and the light blue Logo gently falls onto a folded blanket that Microsoft put on the bottom of the glass box. Microsoft jumped up so fast, his chair fell over, and he tripped. He stumbled over to the glass box thumped up against the front, startling the little blue rectangle, who lets out a startled yelp.
"OOF!" Microsoft rolled onto his tail when he fell backwards. Him hitting the glass caused the front of the box to open, and the little blue rectangle slowly stepped out. However, the little guy stumbled as well and fell onto their face. Microsoft quickly sat himself up correctly and picked up the little rectangle, "Are you okay?". The little rectangle looked up at the colorful square in confusion and fear, "Huh? I- I'd say the same for you, are you okay? You hit... the uhm... glass pretty hard". Microsoft sighed, "oh I'm fine... my- My name is Microsoft. I.... created you cuz I needed someone to talk to. I'm pretty lonely" the colorful square put his ears back. The light blue rectangle attempted to take in all the knowledge that Microsoft just told him all at once, but the little guy was unable to, "Wha?"
Microsoft gently hugged the little rectangle, and the little guy looked up at the colorful square again, "Wh- What's my name?". Microsoft's ears lifted, "Oh! Uhm..." he glanced around his room, specifically at the small, rectangular window there was at the very top of the basement wall. "Windows..." Microsoft murmured. "Windows?" The light blue rectangle repeated, "I like it!". The little tail on the rectangle wagged and Microsoft smiled sweetly. Finally. After three years and so much work, his creation was finally here. A friend! Someone to talk to! To take care of! He would never be lonely again! But... what if he made more? More Windows? "You're name is Windows 1.0" Microsoft declared, and then hugged the little rectangle again. "1.0, for short?" The little guy suggested. Microsoft wagged his tail, "Sure!"
Then... Microsoft started crying. 1.0 looked at him with confusion and worry. "It finally worked" he sighed, and 1.0 tilted his head, "what worked?". "You!" Microsoft barked happily, "I've been trying this for three years and it finally worked!". 1.0 didn't fully understand what this big colorful square that was holding him meant, but he excitedly wagged his tail, "Awesome!". Microsoft glanced back at his computer. Three years. All those hours he spent, days, months... All those lines of code. The hate from Apple. It was all worth it, he did what he's been trying to do the whole time. A friend. A friend that wouldn't turn on him. Ever.
"May I call you dad?"
Windows 1.0 asked. Microsoft looked back at the small rectangle he was holding. His heart filled with love and happiness. A friend was what he wanted, but a son? Even better. He wanted someone to talk to. Someone to care for. Someone to help all the time. Someone to... fill that empty room. That empty space in his heart that Chrome left when he stopped talking to Microsoft. 1.0 would fill that gap, wouldn't he? 1.0 then lifted himself up a bit and wiped away Microsoft's tears, wagging his cute little tail. Microsoft looked down at him and smiled.
"Of course you can, son"

More tears formed in Microsoft's eyes, but Windows 1.0 wiped them away again. "No more tears dad, it's okay" 1.0 said in a soft and sweet voice. Microsoft smiled happily, and then, with 1.0 still in his arms, he slowly left the basement, turning off his computer, all of the LED lights, the main light, and then he left the room into the living room. He locked the basement door and walked over to the couch. He gently sat down and placed 1.0 in his lap. "I'm so glad all my hard work payed off. I wonder that Chrome would think of this!" Microsoft smirked and then grabbed his phone off the coffee table. 1.0 gently sat in his lap, watching with confusion. Microsoft typed in the numbers, and then waiting for Chrome to pick up. He didn't. "Meh, I'll tell him later" he put his phone down and looked at the rectangle sitting in his lap, "I should worry about you right now, telling Chrome can wait until tomorrow".
(Ending Notes): I quickly spat out this chapter before going to bed lol. There's probably many mistakes cuz I wrote this while being half asleep already, I'm just so tired lol. Enjoy this cuteness before the edgy.
