"The city lights were pretty aren't they?" Asahi said with amusement in his voice looking at the city lights, he couldn't help but to feel amused of how pretty they were especially when you're standing from a far.
Like when you were staring at it from a rooftop. He hoped that he could see them from a rooftop with Jaehyuk at some other time.
"But they are not pretty as you" Jaehyuk answered. Although he wasn't able to see his owner's reaction, he was sure that his cute dimples were already visible from smiling.
"So what are you trying to imply?" Asahi innocently asking his hybrid to somehow tease him back a little bit.
"I was trying to imply that you are more pretty than those city lights" Asahi just couldn't believe the sudden personality change of Jaehyuk.
Because you see, he was just all shy and quiet earlier but look at him now, going back to his old flirty personality. That personality that Asahi fell in love with.
"Okay fine" Asahi simply replied.
"What? 'Okay fine'? Like seriously, that's all you got to say?" the hybrid questioned in disbelief.
"Yes, what do you expect me to say?"
"I was expecting you to say that 'Oh really? I am? Thank you, Jaehyuk. I love you so much' But all you could say is 'okay fine'?" Asahi burst out of laughter which wasn't good because he can't control the bicycle properly when he can't almost breath of laughing.
"Stop laughing! I wasn't joking!" the hybrid sulked and lowkey offended when his owner about him
"I.. I'm sorry. It's just that.. It was funny" Asahi said in between his laughters. Jaehyuk was left his mouth hanging in disbelief. Wow, what a heartless man.
"Wow, I'm offended, Hamada Asahi" Jaehyuk seriously said that made his owner stop laughing.
"Hey, I'm sorry. You know I still love you right?" Asahi said this time with soft voice that will never failed to make Jaehyuk's heart jumping in bliss.
"Whatever" Jaehyuk lastly said before hopping out of Asahi's bicycle and secretly smile while he was walking to his apartment.
At this moment, Jaehyuk furrowed his brows when he saw a van parked in front of Asahi's apartment.
"Bae, do you have any visitors today?" Jaehyuk asked while still looking at the suspicious van.
"No one. Why?" Jaehyuk pointed the van parked in front of his apartment. Asahi didn't responded and continued walking towards his apartment. The hybrid was about to enter when someone suddenly talked.
"You're Yoon Jaehyuk right?" Jaehyuk could feel his knees getting weak when he finds the voice familiar, very familiar.
"What do you need?" Asahi suddenly stepped in the conversation hiding the hybrid on his back.
"As you may not know, we need to get him back. His parents still has a lot of debt to me" the hybrid could feel his heart pounding in uneasiness. How did they know that he was here?
"What else do you need? You had already killed my parents and I am suffering right now. Isn't that enough?" Asahi widened his eyes when he realized what Jaehyuk just said. So they were the reason why Jaehyuk suffered almost half of his life?
"They still haven't paid me back, so I'll just take you back. Isn't that great?"
"No! You greedy ass monsters" Jaehyuk whole-heartedly shouted.
"But you are the monster here, Jaehyuk. Look at yourself" A tear fell from his eyes. He's right, he wasn't like them. He has cat ears and cat tails, maybe he's the monster.
"Jaehyuk, don't listen to them okay? You are not the monster and you will never be" Asahi whispered to cheer him up but it almost broke his heart when he looked up to him seeing his eyes in verge of crying.
"Too much drama. Boys, go get him" it was over for the both of them when a group of boys went out of the van and get Jaehyuk from him. He tried stopping them but one of the boys punched him that he almost couldn't get up.
"Jaehyuk! No please. Don't leave" Asahi had never cried this hard before except when his parents died but here he was again. What a great timing, he was ready to give it all and to risk all of him.
His jaw clenched and clutched his fist in anger. He dialed Jihoon's number to get some help to get Jaehyuk back. He can't just sit when those guys can kill him anytime like his parents. He also promised to took care of him, he can't let this slide. He needs to get Jaehyuk no matter what it takes.
"Asahi? It's almost 8:00. What do you need?" Jihoon asked from the other line. But it alarmed him when he heard sobs from his friend.
"Hey, are you crying? What happened?" Jihoon worriedly asked again.
"Can you come here? Please, we need to get Jaehyuk back"
"Huh? What happened?"
"Someone took Jaehyuk. I think it was the people who killed his parents. Please come here, I'll explain everything when you arrive here"
"What?! Okay okay. We'll be there. I'll call the police"
"Please come faster hyung. Jaehyuk... Jaehyuk is in danger. Please" Jihoon texted Junkyu to come at Asahi's apartment as soon as possible and he'll explain later when they get there.
"Okay. Don't worry, we'll get Jaehyuk back. Wait for us there"
