Will looked at the creature then back at the wall. He put his hand up to the see-through bit in the red wall and said, "Mom it's coming!"
I could hear Joyce whimpering through the wall as she instructed "Baby run, you need to run now but I will find you,"
"Mom!" Will cried.
"Run! You have to run!" Joyce guided, trying to do what was best for her son.
By now, the monster was looming over me, its great height doing nothing but tearing down any confidence I had.
I reached both of my hands out in front of me and aimed them at its head. I tensed my hands and concentrated all of my energy into creating the blue flames I so desperately needed. Before long, a small glow appeared in the centre of my palms. I lowered my head for concentration, letting blood drip from my nose.
The creature shrieked at the small, fireball in my hand, but deemed it small enough to ignore. It continued to reach for me, inching closer and closer by the second. It reached for me, causing me to topple towards the ground, landing weirdly. I heard an uncomfortable crunch and an intense sharp pain in my right ankle.
Before I could even comprehend what had happened to my ankle, everything started to spin and my vision went blank, and all the sounds around me buzzed and blurred before falling to a stop.

THIRD PERSON POV
Will was shallowly singing 'Should I Stay or Should I Go' whilst sitting on the floor of his living room in a ball, rocking back and fourth. But, of course, it wasn't really his living room, he was in the Upside Down.
He had been sitting there for what must have felt like an hour, repeating his song and staring at the injured girl who was passed out on the couch.
2 HOURS EARLIER
Whilst Will was talking to his Mom, he heard a small thud which was enough to make him jump. He turned around to see the monster scratching at the girl's stomach, but not hard enough to cut her skin. He stood there for a sec, paralysed in fear. After a few seconds his survival instincts kicked in and he ran towards a torch that had been sitting on the TV stand.
*CLICK*
He pressed the rubber button to turn on the torch.
And... nothing. Nothing happened. His heart skipped a beat, feeling as if everything was going wrong. By now, the Monster's attention had left the lifeless girl on the ground, and was now focused completely on Will.
Will started to panic and threw the dead torch at the Monster who didn't even flinch. Will turned back to the TV stand and grabbed the second and only other torch on the TV stand. He didn't waste any time turning on the torch.
*CLICK*
Thankfully, this time the torch turned on. Will aimed the bright light right in the Monster's face (well, if you could call it a face) which seemed to stun it. Without even realising it, Will had grabbed a heat-lamp torch, which was why the Monster reacted so badly to the light.
Will quickly set the torch on the ground, still shining it on the monster and grabbed Seven by the shoulder, dragging her out onto the porch. He knew he didn't have much time so he continued to pull her weight over to the far side of the porch, being partially blocked from view from numerous pot plants and armchairs.
After 10 or so minutes, nothing had yet happened. Seven started to stir in her slumber, and Will (who remained to be terrified of making a sound) quickly tried to shush her back to sleep in fear that the monster may hear her mumbling.
After another 5 minutes, Will decided he seriously needed to help Seven, and check out whatever it had been that had caused her to pass out.
JUMP TO PRESENT
SEVEN'S POV
"uhhggggg..." I couldn't help but groan as I sat up on the couch, having barely an recollection of what had happened.
I gently rubbed my eyes and forced them open. My glance was met with Will's, and we looked at each other for a second, having absolutely no clue in the world what was going on. His soft singing had paused whilst he was looking at me.
I tried to get up off the couch, not knowing how I got there, but not questioning it either. As soon as my ankle touched the floor I yelped in pain. I would see the concern in Will's eyes as he stood up and walked over to me, offering his hand to help me up. I gratefully accepted and he helped me walk across the room to the goo-covered dining table
A/N
I just wanted to say that it's been ages since I updated this book and I'm so sorry to those who have had to wait. I've received multiple DMs from people who are waiting for a new chapter, and I'm pleased to announce that I have finally left my writers block era and will be continuing to write this story. As of next week, updates will be regular but please bare with me as sometimes I can get very busy. If this happens I will post an announcement so make sure you're following me if you want to get notified when I announce anything.
I hope you enjoyed this chapter, I'm at a part in the story where I kind of just need some major time skips because I don't have anything planned, but obviously I can't do that. Therefore I have some empty spots in my story that need filling in so please feel free to leave some ideas as to what you would like to see happen. Remember: nothing is too crazy, so feel free to suggest anything.
@lunnayzz I hope you enjoy this chapter <3
