Taehyun flopped back to the bed, kicking his legs inside the blanket, muffling a scream. He bounced his head up, cheeks flushed. Reaching a hand below his pillow, he retreated the silver lip-ring.

He should've thrown it away the moment he found it in his mouth, instead of putting it inside his pocket and forgetting. Thanks to it, now even the slightest brush with the ring reminded him of whatever he had going on with Beomgyu that night.

"Will he...still talk to me...after all that?" Taehyun pondered for a while but he then shook it off when his eyes fell on the fancy invitation card laid on the nightstand.

As Hueningkai had said, only one specific person could answer that for him.

"Okay, maybe it's not really late to back out."

Taehyun had left the bed in one jump, and gotten ready for the day. He'd even visited a hairdresser and took out the most elegant suit of his collection to doll up prettily. His father was quite impressed but it wasn't his compliments that Taehyun wanted.

However, he was standing outside the art gallery. The billboard display had the event name and time written in the fancy letters similar to the invitation card, again no picture.

Suddenly, he was feeling a bit nervous. It could be that Hueningkai was just joking around and even if he wasn't, what could he and Beomgyu talk about!?

"This might be a bad idea..." Taehyun was about to turn away from the entrance but then he heard the security speak.

"Gentleman, will you please move forward?"

"Eh?" Taehyun looked down at his hands, and found his invitation card gone. He wanted to smack himself for drowning so deep inside his thoughts that he didn't even notice how or when he'd handed the card and his phone over to the guard.

"You're all good to go. Now please if you allow, there are people waiting to check in."

At last Taehyun had no other option but to enter the big gallery hall, his features taking round shapes the moment he took in the picturesque view. It was enthralling and mesmerizing, and he was in awe because of the pictures in the gallery.

"So beautiful..." His eyes danced and then landed on an even more beautiful creature. The owner of those observing orbs, skillful hands, long raven-blonde strands.

Taehyun's breath hitched at the sight. Ah shit, this was happening again. His heart almost stopped when those gorgeous eyes locked with his. After a few seconds of just staring at each other, Taehyun hesitantly raised a hand to wave.

But the other moved his gaze away, blatantly ignoring his presence.

"That brat..." Taehyun cursed, offended. "Did he just pretend to not see me?"

"CEO Kang!!" called Kim Dakyung, whom Taehyun only noticed now standing near Beomgyu, who also happened to be Taehyun's business competitor.

"Not that woman again!!" the silver-haired sighed before mustering up his professional smile and approached her.

"Yokshi~ All the biggest business profiles have gathered here to catch a glimpse of Belle thinking he was a woman, hahaha." She giggled, her heart-eyes drifting off to the artist. "I genuinely didn't imagine that Belle was such a charming man."

Taehyun narrowed his eyes at her. It was a private party, true, but even this small crowd was drooling over Beomgyu, as if he were an epitome of beauty (that, he was). It made him feel restless.

"Hello, I'm Kang Taehyun." He offered a hand to the older, proudly patting himself for his confidence.

Beomgyu looked down at the hand, then at Taehyun. Uh oh, what if Beomgyu rejected his handshake? That would be really embarrassing. Even the thought wore off Taehyun's little smile.

But Beomgyu allowed himself to be kind enough to take his hand. "Considering how busy you are, I wouldn't have minded if you were unable to join us tonight." He added with a smile, "Taehyun-ssi."

Before Taehyun could even react to that, Beomgyu's manager had announced the opening of the showcase, which caused the older to leave his hand and move towards the stage.

Throughout the whole event, Taehyun remained in a secluded area, occasionally sipping his mimosa and looking over at the older.

Beomgyu, very professionally, introduced himself as the thriving South Korean artist who struggled his way to France and worked hard to fulfill his dream; how he managed to score a scholarship, despite taking care of his sick mother and many oppositions to his goals. And today he's proud to present the authenticity of his homeland in front of the whole world.

Although Taehyun didn't really grow up with Beomgyu, he'd known him for a good three years. It wasn't a lie that Beomgyu often arrived late, sometimes flunked his tests, and his uniform was never proper; all of which Taehyun once found annoying. But today, he was seeing it in another perspective. Beomgyu was equally hard-working, if not more, just like him. They both wanted to achieve things that seemed impossible to the surrounding people, hence major obstacles and divided opinions. And the fact that Beomgyu was able to do it without anyone's help or privileges—

"He's so cool." The words rolled out of his tongue as he smiled softly.

Taehyun looked his left and right carefully, making sure to not get caught. The event was over after a fancy dinner and drinking session, and the guests were escorted out by Beomgyu's manager with much care. The silver-haired boy managed to hide from the security when he saw Beomgyu leaving quietly with five guards.

The older was staying at the hotel affiliated with the gallery. Meticulously managing to bribe a staff, Taehyun put on their outfit along with a mask which allowed him to get on the same elevator Beomgyu was using.

His blood ran cold when he met eyes with the raven-haired for a split moment but he could sigh in relief when the older didn't find him suspicious.

At least, that's what he thought.

He was very much proved wrong when the elevator reached the top floor. Beomgyu and his guards were the first to leave, so Taehyun was waited out a few minutes before getting off. But he found no one in the corridor.

"Where did they go!??" He looked left and right but there wasn't even an ant in his sight. Exasperated, he paced towards the only suite door, only to be tackled from the back and pinned against the wall.

"Who are you and why did you follow us up here?" He heard the huge man, who had his arms locked in a strong grip, growl.

The man didn't give him a chance to speak before turning him over, revealing that he was one of Beomgyu's guards as the other four were circling the raven-haired to protect him.

Beomgyu's eyes were stern and fixed as he had his arms folded.

Taehyun's breath fastened, he was so scared that he didn't even notice the guard asking him to explain until his mask was forcefully taken off.

He saw Beomgyu sighing, as if he knew, before stepping forward. "Leave this to me. You guys can go now."

"But sir—"

"It's okay, he's harmless."

The five guards bowed to him in a full 90 before filing out back to the elevator, not forgetting to glare at Taehyun as a warning.

It was dead silence when they were left alone.

Beomgyu unlocked his room with his card and got in, he waited for a few seconds before speaking from the inside. "I'm leaving the door open, you can come in whenever you're ready."

Taehyun took in a deep breath. Although it did seem foreign, he was here to talk about feelings with Beomgyu.

Feelings, yeah ok, he could do it just like they normally speak. Wish him luck.
