getting things ready

     Walking out of the bathroom my chair is back facing the desk." oh i must have just been seeing things then'  Walking out the room and downstairs I take my meds and leave. In my truck, I go to a Christmas tree farm. Going in and picking one out I pay and shove it in my truck then I got to Walmart. Grabbing decorations and bags for gifts I head over to a craft store.

    Heading towards the store a guy comes up to me. He's tall maybe 6'1 to 6'4. Blue eyes short brown hair smallish frame but strong looking. He's wearing a normal sweater with light blue jeans and boots. he's familiar but I can't place it ."Hello I must say you are really pretty" his voice sounds nice. "I - um thank you?...sorry I don't know how to respond to that," I said quietly. He chuckled. "Sorry if I sounded like a creep" shaking my head I let out a small laugh. Walking into the store I look around. Grabbing a basket first. "Mhm, what should I make them? " I ask myself not realizing he followed me. "Make who? " he asked making me jump. "Jesus fuck man." I pant. "Sorry I didn't mean to scare you " I shake my head" it's okay and to answer my ma and pop" looking around I spot a nice bracelet-making kit. "Oh I would suggest something meaningful to both of them..oh I'm stu by the way " he said with a laugh. "Mhm nice to meetcha," I said while walking towards the kit.

"Don't I get your name?" He asks.

"Nope because I don't know you" I say.

  Picking up the kit I walk to the next aisle. And again he follows like a lost puppy. Scanning the aisle I spot a kit with different sized spikes for clothing. Picking it up and getting it on my basket. 'Steal it ' a voice said. I shake my head to forget the thought.

"Wanna get to know me ? " he asked with a blush growing on his face

"Huh?" I look over and see his red face 'first time talking to a girl ?' Grinning at my thought I nod.

"Really?" He said surprised.

"Yea why not I don't have many friends"

"Okay great wanna go out to a dinner with me...not a date of course just a friendly meet up," he said nervously.

Thinking for a second I shake my head yes. He smiles. Walking around the store he followed me and got some things as well.

"So how old are you?" He asked.

"Bout to be 18 in two weeks," I said quietly. Going to the checkout with my basket. Full of the two kits and a model for my dad he likes them. And a new sketchbook for me.

"Wait really? You look so much older than that and your birthday is on the first?" he said Yet he doesn't look surprised. Nodding at him I place my stuff on the counter. The women scanned them. "That will be 50.74" grabbing my wallet I heard "allow me pretty one" Stu said and he paid for my stuff. She bagged it then handed it to me. "Nice boyfriend you have" the lady said smiling at Stu. My face grew hot along with Stu's.

   "We aren't dating," we said at the same time. "Oh I'm sorry I thought you were you walked in together and shopped together so I just assumed sorry " nodding at her and looking away. Stu got his stuff and we walked out together. "So how does 5:30 for our meet-up sound" he asked as we walk towards my truck. let's do something new 

   "That's fine for me...wanna come shopping with me I need a second opinion for clothes shopping" I say while looking at the ground. He took a second. "I'd love to. We can go now I walked here actually so let's go" he said with a small chuckle.

"Okay then let's go " we got to my truck and put our stuff on the back floorboard. We go to a thrift shop nearby. We get out and go in.

" This place is so nice they have good things" I say smiling and looking around.

"Looks cool" he said.

We got a cart and got some clothes. Going to the fitting room I come out in the skirt and shirt tucked in. I look down in embarrassment. I wanna wear skirts but I'm not sure about it.

"Whoa..you look amazing" he said quietly.

  Looking up I could see his blush and our eyes met. I smile at him. I got most of the clothes I tried on because he liked them.

   We walked to checkout and paid. I convinced him to get a couple of shirts that matched mine. they were mainly slasher movie shirts.

"Ready to go? It's 5:00" I said looking at my phone.

"Yea let's go..how about we go to Waffle House " he said

"Sure let's go" we got there quickly.

When we parked my phone went off. Looking at the contact name 'dad❤️' I clicked answer "gimme a sec" I whispered to Stu who nodded. "Where are you I got home at 3 and you haven't been here at all then I called your school and they said mom took you out" with a sigh I said " dad chill I'm safe I'm with a friend we are getting dinner then I'll be home okay" silents

 " you don't have to lie to me you gone aren't you" I gasped "what no I have no reason to lie I know I don't have a lot of friends but jeez rude" my dad chuckled "so who are you out with? " I put my phone on speaker " a friend wanna say hi Stu? " I look over at him he gulps then "hi sir" he went quiet. "Did you say Stu ?..my girl finally has a boy that's good to hear" my face heats up. "Dear god dad no we are just friends" he lets out an mhm hum sound "sure you are. You to at least sleep together right ?" I let out a gasp "DAD no stop oh god". He then laughs "what every woman needs a good Dickin from time to time " Stu let out a laugh. "Dad why are you like this just because I have a friend who is a male does not mean I will have sex with him" my dad laughed "sweetie it's okay no need to be embarrassed just be safe "

"DAD shut up " Stu was dying laughing. My face was as red as a tomato. "Everyone needs sex Hunny " I facepalm. "I don't want grandkids yet okay so remember to wrap it before you pack it " I sigh. " dad you need to stop I will not let you ever meet any boyfriends I have in the future or in general" he laughs "I'm just messing hun and Stu nice to meet you" Stu still laughed had a red face. "Have a good time hun bye " the phone clicked.

"I am so sorry about that he's never done that before" I said while looking at Stu my face still bright red. He looks at me his face red "it's okay it was funny, to say the least. Can I have your name now? " nodding I say " max lin" he looks at me "like lin as in Anthony lin? " my dad's name. Nodding.

"Yes that's my dad " I say

"That's cool my dad use to know him really well"
