"The lights will go out soon. They won't attack us so easily, but let's take turns keeping watch just in case." Gi-hun said, pointing at everyone. 

"Let's do it in pairs." Sang-woo suggested, "There's a chance one may fall asleep or side with another team to betray us." The rest of you nodded. 

"I'll go first." the old man said, "Old people don't get very sleepy."

"Sir, how are we going to trust and old man like you and sleep in peace?" You smacked the back of the man's head. (i like ya cut g) "Stop being disrespectful, bastard." "You bi-" You stuck your tongue out to him. "At least he's volunteering for your lazy ass."

"I'll go first." Sang-woo said. Ali raised his hand up, "I'll join you. I'm not sleepy right now." Sang-woo nodded. "Then I'll go next." said Gi-hun. "Wake me up when you get tired." Ali nodded. 

"Then I'll join you, if you're okay with it." You smiled. 'Grandpa's so nice.' "Let's do that."

"Sleep well, Sae-byeok."

Your eyes fluttered open and stood up, watching as Gi-hun ripped a piece of the blanket. 'What's happening here?'

"Darn it." You reached over your bottle and handed it to Gi-hun. "Here you go man." Gi-hun looked at you and then at the bottle of water. You nodded as he quickly took it. "I'll just drink some off Sae-byeok's bottle."

He poured the water into the cloth and immediately placed it on the old man's forehead. What you didn't notice was that ever since you left the bed, Sae-byeok woke up. She found you sitting on one of the stairs you all used as chairs, smiling at Gi-hun and the old man's interaction.

She made her way towards you and sat next to you, "Why are you awake?" 

You turned your head to face her, "I should be asking you that." You chuckled as she continued to stare at you. "Well," you looked away, "I can't sleep knowing one of them might attack us. You?" 

She hummed in agreement, "I woke up because you woke up." You giggled, "What? You woke up because I woke up?" She softly nudged your side, "Shut up." You smiled and held the side of her head, placing it on your shoulder. 

"Here, sleep on my shoulder. I won't go anywhere this time." You placed a hand behind her back and rested it at her waist. She shifted against your hold, making herself feel comfortable and drifting to sleep, not before she placed her hand on top of yours. 

"Goodnight, Sae-byeok." You whispered and placed a kiss on top of her head. Unknown to you, Gi-hun and the old man was looking at the two of you with bright smiles on their faces. 

(i'm gonna feel so bad killing one of them off.)

You averted your attention off Sae-byeok and looked at the two. "You two look so much like father and son." 

"And you two look so much like a couple." Gi-hun said, in which you at smiled brightly, before looking back at the girl that's sleeping in your arms. "Yes. I guess we do."

The lights suddenly started to light up and a loud siren woke the remaining players up. You groaned, "What do they want now?"

"All players, please line up in the middle." Triangles started entering the room, "Let me repeat. All players, please line up in the middle."

The triangles pushed one of your barricades and pointed his gun at y'all. "Move it." You all followed as you rubbed your eye, trying to adjust to the bright light being emitted. 

"Get up." Triangle once again said, pointing at the old man that stayed at the bed. You and Gi-hun noticed this and approached Triangle. "Now!" 

You held the gun Triangle's holding as two other triangles held you and Gi-hun at gunpoint. "He's very sick right now." Gi-hun said as Triangle yanked the old man's blanket, revealing his soaked pants. 

You and Gi-hun looked at the old man, feeling sorry for him. 

All of you now stood in four lines, as Squares scanned all of you closely. You smiled when you saw Gi-hun tie his jacket against the old man's waist, covering the fact that he peed himself. 

And as usual, (okay, i can't take this. i feel like i might cry again.) the song started playing. "The fourth game will begin momentarily. All players, follow staff's instructions and proceed to the game hall. Let me repeat. The fourth game will begin."

On the way to the game hall, you saw four men in red and one of 101's underlings tied up in the middle of the room. "What you are witnessing right now are the ones who broke the rules of this world for their benefit and tainted the pure ideology of this world."

"Each and every one of you is considered equal in this world. You must be guaranteed equal opportunity without any discrimination. We promise not to let such an unfortunate incident be repeated. We truly apologize for this tragedy."

"Welcome to your fourth game. This game will be played in teams of two. Find someone you wish to play with. When two people agree to play as a team and shake hands, you become partners."

You smiled at Sae-byeok and held out your hand. She looked at it then at you. "I thought you trust me? You don't want to play with me?" She shook her head before hesitantly accepting the handshake. 

She doesn't know why, but for some reason, the moment you held out your hand for her to shake, she felt very uneasy. It just grew more and more the moment she shook your hands and pulled her into a hug. She quickly hugged back and rested her head on the crook of your neck. 

"We're partners, then."
