Kyson
I took a deep breath as I watched the last few members of the pack filter into the hall from behind the black and gold curtain. We were moments away from taking over as the leaders of the pack, and we were practically shitting ourselves.
We were at the back of the hall, hidden behind a huge black and gold satin curtain with our families by our side in ranking order. The Alpha's family was in the front, behind them were the Betas, next was my family, the Gammas, and last were the Deltas.
We were dressed formally in our suits and gowns according to our rank colors. The Alphas wore black and gold. The Betas, white and silver. The Gammas, red and rose gold, and the Deltas, royal blue and platinum.
Our clothes and accessories also represent our diverse ethnicities and heritages, seeing as our pack is very diverse in ethnicity and religion.
The men wore colored blazers that had pieces of our heritage embroidered onto them here and there, while our ties and accessories were the metal colors that represented our ranks. You couldn't see much with our attire, so the women and their gowns and jewelry showed more of our rank's colors.
To represent her Japanese heritage and the Alpha rank, Mali had on a black satin Kimono-themed wrap dress with gold trimming along the ends and shiny gold Japanese words littering the fabric here and there. The dress was flowy and smooth in all the right places, flattering her delicate and tiny figure with a slit over her left thigh and a foot train trailing behind her.
Mali's wavy hair was straightened and pulled up into a bun updo that was held together by two black and gold Kanzashi hair sticks and a Tsumami Kanzashi hairpin while her Chinese bangs framed her round, lightly tanned face. Mali wore gold jewelry with gold strappy heels and finished off the look with a soft and shiny gold eye and a natural light-pink lip.
Claire—representing the Beta title—had on a white and silver Pellera-themed gown to pay homage to her Panamanian heritage. The dress was an off-shoulder, ridged-textured, bodycon dress with two layers of ruffles at the top that stopped at her inner elbow and three layers of ruffles that flared out at her knees and stopped at her ankles. The ruffles of the dress were decorated with shiny silver flowers along the edges in a traditional Pellera flower pattern. Her silky brown curls were pressed into crinkles that stopped mid-back with the right side pushed back with diamond-encrusted white gold pins in an intricate design to hold it in place. She accessorized the look with white gold jewelry—because werewolves can't wear silver unless they want to be burned alive—and silver strappy heels. Claire finished the look off with a smokey nude eye and a bold matte red lip that complemented her brown skin.
Mom—being the Gamma Female—had on a rose gold mini-turtleneck chain capelet on top of a red halter-top bodycon dress that stopped at her ankles with trails of rose gold chains hanging from the end of the dress to the floor. The chains were a representation of our African-American heritage as a way to pay homage to our ancestors for overcoming slavery and fighting for our rights.
The front of Mom's thick and fluffy curls were in a bantu knot crown while the rest of her hair was in a twist out that stopped just beneath her shoulder blades. The bantu knots had mini red and rose gold chains wrapped around them and a few chains fell in with the twist out. Mom paired the look with rose gold jewelry and heels that had red embellishments on them. Her makeup was bold, done in a smokey red eye, and a brown-lined matte red lip.
Sonya—representing her Tamil-Hindu Indian heritage, and the Delta title—had on a royal blue satin turtle-neck halter blouse with silver glittery flowers, a gray satin petticoat, and a sheer royal blue Saree with silver embroidered flowers along the hems, and scattered here and there over the fabric. She had a dark blue bindi dot in the center of her forehead, an assortment of platinum and royal blue bangles on both wrists, big platinum earrings with an intricate design, and silver and royal blue heels. Her long dark brown hair was in a low bun on the left and her curtain bangs barricaded her face. Her makeup was bold, yet subtle, with a classic smokey eye and a simple nude lip.
