bonus chapter: (part III) dagger

Start from the beginning

"Lucas did you steal this from Felix?" I asked looking at the packet of skittles in my hands. "Nope. I just borrowed it forever," he said reaching out for a hug.

"That's enough, let me see my triplet," Luca said pushing Lucas away. "I made this myself," He said carefully handing me a handkerchief. It had my and Damien's name embroidered with blue. "It's beautiful," I said, tucking it in the pocket of my wedding dress.

I wore the necklace and strapped the dagger to my thigh. My gun was attached at the other side and security was extra tight. My brother's gave me a final squeeze and walked off, leaving only Ace there.

"Shall we?" I nodded.

"We shall."

Walking down the aisle is easy. Damien is standing at the end of the aisle, Ace is standing beside me to support me and my entire family is silently cheering from their seats and places.

When I reach the end of the aisle, Damien is there to catch me. Ace recites a warning to him before standing back. "I can't wait to take this dress off you," Damien growls softly in my ear.

My cheeks tint red as the priest begins the ceremony. "Dearly beloved and honoured guests;

We are gathered together here to join Damien Dorthea García" I chuckled as the priest paused for a brief moment, "and Alexis Lartina Di Angelo in the union of marriage.

This contract is not to be entered into lightly, but thoughtfully and seriously, and with a deep realisation of its obligations and responsibilities.

The bride and groom have each prepared vows that they will read now." The priest finished, waiting for us to start. I cleared my throat and took Damien's face in my hands.

"How lucky am I to call you mine? Your love and trust makes me a better person, each and every day. For all those times that we've been together, there's always been a mutual understanding that's only shared when two people love each other truly.

You were there for my greatest challenges. You encouraged me to grow. You helped believe in myself and become the person that I am today. In your arms and by your side, I know I can do anything. I'm proud to call you my partner in crime,"

Damien sniffed. "I had written some vows down, but I'm not going to be reading from them. I see these vows not as promises but as privileges: I get to laugh with you and cry with you; care for you and share with you. I get to run with you and walk with you; build with you and live with you.

I get to have you be the person I spend the rest of my life with. I get to be there for you and support you. I don't have to honour and cherish you – I get to." He finished. I was going to embrace him when the priest interrupted.

"And now:

Damien, do you take Alexis to be your wife? Do you promise to love, honor, cherish, and protect her, forsaking all others, and holding only unto her forevermore?"

"I do." Damien confirmed.

"And Alexis, do you take Damien to be your husband? Do you promise to love, honor, cherish, and protect him, forsaking all others, and holding only unto him forevermore?

"I do." I said smiling. The priest motioned for the ring bearers, Felix and Rose to hand our rings to us.

"Damien and Alexis will now exchange rings as a symbol of love and commitment to each other. Rings are a precious metal; they are also made precious by you wearing them. Your wedding rings are special; they enhance who you are. They mark the beginning of your long journey together. Your wedding ring is a circle—a symbol of love never ending. It is the seal of the vows you have just taken to love each other without end.

Damien, please place the ring on Alexis' left hand and repeat after me:

As a sign of my love, That I have chosen you. Above all else, With this ring, I thee wed."

Damien slipped the ring onto my finger and clutched my hand tightly.

"As a sign of my love, That I have chosen you. Above all else, With this ring, I thee wed." He repeated.

The priest turned to me

"And Alexis please place the ring on Damien's left hand and repeat after me; As a sign of my love, That I have chosen you. Above all else, With this ring, I thee wed." I repeated the words and slipped the ring onto Damien's finger.

"With the power vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the Bride," Damien's lips were on mine before the priest could finish. Everyone cheered, but I could only focus on the man infront of me. My husband.
