"I have my ways." Clay pulls me into his arms, lifting my body up off the dining room chair. "It was a lot harder than I thought it would be though. I'm just glad I could get another one for you." Clay slowly sets my feet to the ground.

"Thank you. Honestly Clay, really, thank you." I glance down between us for a second before darting my eyes back up to meet his. I've always said I could tell his real happiness and his fake happiness. This moment was moment of real happiness. It was genuine and real. It wasn't a show he was putting on to get something out of it. He did this because he loved me and no other reason. There was no ulterior motive. He just did it... because he wanted to.

"Anything for you." The room falls quiet for a few minutes as Clay rocks us back and forth. I stare blankly at the white walls of the rooms around us as I sway with him. So many happy memories flood back through my mind. It's been so negative lately that I've forgotten what happy memories look like.

"Way to make a whirlwind in our fandom." Nick's voice sounds from behind me.

"If my fans, our fans, genuinely think one of us are going to end up with them they're living in an unrealistic fantasy. They know I love her. Might as well let them know how long I've loved this idiot." Clay squeezes me tightly as I look towards Nick.

"Oh no, they don't care about that." Nick chuckles. "OMG it's teenage Dream. We need more teenage Dream. It's like the alligator photo release or the batman photo release all over again."

"Teenage thug Dream." I joke. "Mister skip-class-and-leave-my-best-friend-all-alone."

"I think they've seen enough of young me." Clay chuckles. "I think we're going to head out for the night. Let George know for me?" Clay says as he grabs my hand, pulling out from my arms.

"Where are we going?" I question him having absolutely no idea what he's got planned. What he has running wildly through his mind. It seems as though he always has something up his sleeve. His mind is always running a million miles a minute. There isn't a second when this man isn't thinking about his next move.

"For a drive. I want to be alone right now."

"He wants to fuck but doesn't want George or I walking in." Nick crosses his arms against his chest. I watch Clay's facial expression turn to a glare. By his reaction I know that is far from the truth. I think he really does just want to be alone, just the two of us.

"Steamy car sex? Wouldn't be the first time." I smirk as I glance at Nick. He cringes and takes off up the stairs towards his room.

Clay leads me out the front door of his house and over to his car. It's been so long since I've stepped into his car. It's been so long since him and I have been in a car together. This used to be our safe haven growing up. Whenever we wanted to escape his siblings. Whenever we wanted alone time. We escaped to his parents car. It's always been our place.

We spent countless amounts of nights curled up in the backseat of his mothers car until we fell asleep. We had talks about everything and nothing at all. We've had dance parties and karaokes. We have had sex and been the most distant we could ever be trapped inside of a car. We've been through it all. Different cars, different season, different emotions. But it was always our place to figure it out.

Clay opens the passenger door for me and I slide inside with ease. A part of me wants to know what he has planned but a part of me also knows it will just be something simple. It's always just simple. A drive here. A silence there. A look here. A talk there. We've explored this town and mapped it out in our minds. He knows where to take us. He's got his plans.

Clay jogs around the front of the car not wanting to be apart from me too long. He's cute when he's in a hurry. He's got the hood of his sweatshirt popped over the top of his head and a look of focus darted across his expression. God, I am really in love with this kid.
