You turned to Fred then, and the doubt and hesitation that had been resting heavily on your chest all summer evaporated as he grinned down at you with pure and unfiltered joy. You just barely managed to stop yourself from jumping into his arms as he pulled you in for a tight hug, resting his chin on your head, "it's good to see you, love."
You squeezed him again and then pulled back to look at them both, "did you both somehow get even taller?" They looked at each other, as if sizing each other up, and then turned back to you and both shrugged, "maybe you just shrunk?" George teased. You shook your head fondly at the pair and then threw your arms around them both once again, "I missed you two."
---
The four of you held on tightly to each other as Mr Weasley Apparated you all back to the Burrow, and once the momentary nausea that came with it had passed, you all walked towards the house, Arthur bewitching your trunk to follow you.
"I can't wait to use magic outside of school next year," George sighed as you walked alongside them and you raised your eyebrows at him. "You mean to tell me that neither of you have used magic outside of school at least once? Not even in Diagon Alley when it couldn't be traced back to you?"
The twins shared a smirk, and then George corrected himself, "I can't wait to legally use magic outside of school next year."
"I'm going to pretend I didn't hear that, George," Arthur said from ahead of you, which made the three of you snicker as you followed him towards the house.
"Y/N's here!!" You heard someone shout and then you saw both Hermione and Ginny running out of the house towards you, you broke into a run as well and met them both in a tight hug.
"It's so good to see you Y/N!" Hermione said earnestly as they both pulled away from the hug, and she squeezed your arm affectionately, "I've missed you!"
"I've missed your ability to keep those two in check," Ginny said with a smirk, nodding towards the twins as they walked past you into the house, and then she linked her arm through yours, "come on, Mum can't wait to see you!"
---
Later on that night, you and the two girls sat together in Ginny's room in your pyjamas, catching each other up on things that happened over the summer like you did every year.
"So as you can imagine, that was an interesting story to tell my parents," Hermione said, having just informed you about how she and Harry used a Time-Turner to free both a Hippogriff named Buckbeak, and Sirius Black. After the events unfolded last year, Hermione had told you everything, but in far less detail than she had done tonight. She'd told you about Sirius' innocence, how he was actually Harry's godfather, and about how Harry had conjured an impressive Patronus Charm to protect both himself and Sirius from the Dementors. In typical Hermione fashion, she had explained it all in under a minute over dinner in the Great Hall one evening in June, and you were left reeling afterwards.
"The Time-Turner definitely explains how I was seeing you basically everywhere last year, Hermione," you chuckled, "and Harry successfully cast the Patronus Charm? That's impressive, it's a shame it's not taught at school though." That led to a conversation about school subjects, and you told them about your exam results which you'd been sent a number of weeks ago, telling you that you'd gotten nine OWLs. They congratulated you and Hermione eagerly questioned you about what subjects you planned on taking this year, which you'd already decided upon receiving your results.
You decided that you would take Charms, Transfiguration, Potions, Defence Against the Dark Arts and Herbology at NEWT-level, while also opting to take Apparition lessons as an elective class. They were thrilled for you, and Ginny explained to Hermione about how Mrs Weasley wasn't happy with Fred and George's results since they both got three OWLs each, which didn't live up to what Bill, Charlie and Percy had gotten.
