The Next Step Shadow Weaver x Reader

It was a blissful morning in Brightmoon, but you and Shadow couldn't sleep all night. The baby had been crying all night and you both didn't know what to do. The baby had finally slept but you both were restless, so you decided to make Shadow some tea and you both sat in the balcony outside your bedroom.

You both breathed in some fresh air and sat down. What are we going to name her Shadow asked. I have no idea You replied. The baby had started crying again you were so tired you had drawn a sleeping spell and were about to cast it when Shadow stopped you.

She than picked the baby up and started singing "You are my sunshine My only sunshine You make me happy When skies are gray You'll never know, dear How much I love you so Please don't take my sunshine away. The baby went silent and slept in Shadows arms.

You looked at Shadow with shock. I didn't know you could sing, Your voice is so melodious You said. Hmmm Melody that's a brilliant name she said as she pulled the baby close to her chest.

It's perfect, our little Melody You said. 

Shadow then put Melody in the crib as she slept peacefully. 

You both went to the balcony and sat down again and sipped your tea. I want to know more about the night I gave birth to Melody Shadow asked. You then breathed in and said Umm there was a lot of screaming and as you gave birth to Melody, you had stopped breathing and I brought you back using SHE RA, tears had started forming in your eyes.

Come and sit on my lap Shadow says, You listen and go sit on her lap. She than wipes the tears off your face. Don't cry my sweet princess, you saved me again and I love you so much she says.

I love you too, I don't know what I would have done without you You say. She than comes close and smashes her lips on yours, You than return the kiss and you kissed her until you couldn't hold your breath anymore. You pulled away from her and she held you close to her chest.

You could hear her heart beat, it sent a warmth across your body. She then picked you up and spun you around and both of you laughed.

You than hear giggling from the bedroom, It was Melody she was laughing, her laugh was so cute. You and Shadow both stood near the crib, Shadow put her finger near Melody's hand and she gripped it tight.

Shadow looked at you and she smiled with tears in her eyes. Hello my little princess Shadow says to Melody.

Melody then looks at you and her green eyes start to glow, You look at Shadow confused.

Don't worry about it at the moment, just enjoy this, We'll discuss hat later Shadow says.

You nod and than start playing with the baby.

Shadow then goes outside and calls you, you leave Melody as she slowly falls asleep.

What was that You ask Shadow. She has great power but its not sorcery its more like SHE RAs energy Shadow says. But were not in any trouble why would she need that power You ask.

Maybe when you healed me she absorbed the power, or genetics, I don't know Shadow replies. What's important is that we treat her as normal as possible and we'll tell her when she grows older You say.

We'll tell her on her 10th birthday, We don't want to leave it to late and plus we don't even know what the energy is, so we'll observe and then tell her Shadow says.
