He frowned and shook his head turning around to face the oh-so-wonderful Alina.

Nikolai had left the coach a while ago and joined us on horses.

"About 3 miles to our destination be prepared to stop!" Nikolai shouted as he lead the way.

"Aye, sir!" One of his ship members shouted.

Eventually, we arrived at our resting place where Alina bolted to Mal.

I wonder if she liked that kiss she and Nik shared. I would ha-

I mean... poor Mal if she did.

Mal had his arm around her and seemed to not care about what happened earlier. But I changed my mind as I saw his glaring eyes drift to Nikolai who was talking to some local dignitaries.

I hopped off my horse and tied Irene to a pole. I made my way to Alina and Mal.

"I'm supposed to be guarding you at like all times don't you two go off kissing somewhere. You can do that later."

Alina blushed and Mal snickered.

Alina was just finishing talking g with Mal.

"And Mal, I seem to be immune. And luckily I know what a real kiss should feel like." She smirked and left a dazed tracker on the road as she headed into the building.

I coughed, "earth to Malyen."

"Huh?"

"We have to go greet the person that's letting us stay here," I said. This is our last night and we were staying at a nobleman's house. His name was Count Minkoff.

"Alright then, shall we?" he grinned and he held the door open. He seemed to be in a much better mood now that he talked to Alina.

"We shall." I walked in as he followed behind me.

It was a beautiful place.

Mal left me and went to talk to some men in the crew. I took in the gorgeous place. The painted large walls and the stairs in the foyer.

"Miss Safin?" A squeaky male voice said.

I turned on one foot seeing a tiny man holding a paper, "Prince Nikolai said to tell you that you will be guarding Alina's door tonight. And um..." he handed me the paper, "he said if you need any sleep his door is always open..."

My eyes widened and my eyebrows furrowed in disgust. "Thank you..." I said awkwardly and dismissed him.

After dinner, I marched up to Nikolai.

"What is this?" I shoved the paper into his chest.

He took it and read it.

"Well right here it says that if you need sleep go to my room."

"And why is that?"

"Saints Amelia! I wasn't planning to ravish you. It was implied that if you got tired to take my bed and I'll go out and get someone else to guard." He whispered in the tiny hallway.
