     You've been in a relationship with Marina for a couple days, but it still feels a bit surreal. You're extremely nervous because tonight is your first official date with her. Pearl insisted on paying for you two, even though you both told her it wasn't necessary.

Pearl: Nonsense! I'm not gonna take no as an answer. I've got more money than I know what to do with and I really want tonight to go well for you! I'm paying and that's final!

     You sigh and roll your eyes. You aren't surprised by this in the slightest. That's just the kind of person pearl is.

Y/N: Thanks pearl. You're the greatest!
Pearl: Shell yeah I am! Now you two get going. Send me the bill after you're finished with everything, and don't leave anything out. I'll know if you do.
Marina: Of course, Pearlie. Y/N, let's go!

     You and Marina head out. Marina takes you to a very fancy restaurant, a place you normally wouldn't be caught dead in on account of how little money you have to your name.

Y/N: You know you didn't have to go all out like this. Any time spent with you is great, no matter the place.

     You notice what you said and look away shyly.

Marina: I know, but I wanted to spoil you tonight! Nothing is too good for my [preferred pet name].

     This makes you blush and Marina giggles as she leads you inside. You sit at a table for two and after ordering, you just can't stop looking at Marina's eyes. They're so... beautiful. You could stare at them for hours.

Marina: You like what you see?

     You're snapped back to reality and you look away, blushing. Marina chuckles.

Marina: You're so cute, Y/N!

     After you receive your food and eat, a swarm of paparazzi appear at a nearby window.

Marina: I was wondering how long it'd take for them to show up.

     Marina gives them a wave, allowing for a small window of good pictures, before grabbing your hand and dragging you outside. Before the paparazzi can follow, you both duck into an alley and let them run past. After the coast is clear, you get up and walk back onto the sidewalk.

Y/N: Are you sure you should've grabbed my hand like that? If they didn't think we were together before, they definitely do now.
Marina: So what if they know? That doesn't change anything. And besides. I want people to know you're mine.

     You blush intensely as Marina leads you to her and Pearl's studio building.

Y/N: Why are we here?
Marina: You'll see!

     Marina takes you up the flights of stairs until you reach a door labeled "Rooftop." She opens the door, revealing a blanket set up for the both of you. She lays down on it and pats the spot next to her. You lay down beside her and she pulls you close.

Marina: We got lucky tonight. No clouds.

     You look into the sky and marvel at the millions of stars. You feel at peace. The night is chilly, but Marina next to you warms you up more than enough.
You don't remember exactly when, but you must have fallen asleep because when you opened your eyes, Marina was cuddled up with you on one of the studio couches. It appears that she carried you all the way down rather than wake you. Being so close to her, you couldn't help but blush. Her face was right there next to yours. You leaned in slightly and planted a peck on her cheek before cuddling closer and shutting your eyes again. This feels right. This is where you belong.
