"Now" I said turning up the radio that was playing Christmas songs "Let's decorate ourselves a tree"
Then we started decorating in this order:
Lights
Tinsel
Baubles
And then we would put on the tree topper. We let Mack put the star on the tree because she kept begging for a long time. While we were putting the baubles on Charlie called me outside. I followed him out of the sliding door into my back garden. It was cold because it was snowing so I hoped this would be quick.
"So , how did it go?" he asked.
"How did what go?" I asked back.
"What's happening with you and Leondre?" Charlie asked.
"What is this? Twenty questions?" I joked.
"It depends , how many are we on?" he asked.
"That would be six , do you count six? Now we're on seven. Your turn Lenehan" I joked.
"Seriously , how did it go? And yes , I know I just asked a question" Charlie said.
"We're back together" I said.
"That's amazing!" said Charlie happily giving me a quick hug.
"Thank you for helping me go and talk to him" I said.
"Any time kiddo" he joked.
"Thank you adulto" I joked back.
"I may be 18 but I'm still a child at heart" Charlie said.
"I know" I said. Then we went inside and everyone watched a Christmas film. Elf. My favourite Christmas film! During the film we would laugh at the best lines like "I just like to smile , smiling is my favourite" and "I'm a cotton headed ninny muggins". In the film I sat with Leo on the floor and he had his arm around me. At the end of the film we all started to get excited because it was reaching nightfall and FATHER CHRISTMAS WOULD BE COMING SOON! Ok I wasn't excited for Santa , Christmas is a time to be with family and friends and to be thankful. Mack was really excited for Santa because she's only two years old. Now with Leo , Charlie and Keeley here , this would be the perfect family Christmas. When I was in the middle of fantasising the landline started ringing so I got up and answered it.
"Hello , have I reached the James household?" said the voice on the phone.
"Yes you have" I said happily.
"We're just calling to remind you that the adult Christmas party is on starting at 21:30 , aged sixteen and over only" said the voice.
"Ok , thank you , we'll be there" I said. Then I put the phone down and went back into the living room.
"The event starts at 21:30" I said. I used the word event because Mack would start throwing a tantrum that she couldn't come to the party.
"Ok , you should start getting ready now so that you can help put Mack and Noah to bed" said my dad.
"Ok" I said and I went upstairs to get ready.
