Just a bunch of random thoughts

Why are parents allowed to yell and scream at their children and call them names and just make them feel like shit in general... but when kids try to defend themselves it's disrespectful? That's why I don't believe in "respect your elders". I believe in respecting those deserving of respect. Being older doesn't give you special rights to be an asshole.
