"I was just thinking how much happier you are with Aaron now. I don't know. You just seem... like you're living life again." He admitted.
"Oh." I mumbled kind of shocked. "Really?"
He nodded. "I mean yeah. You guys seem to be really into each other. He cares about you a lot, man. Like almost all the time he's staring at you like you're some fucking shooting star that landed in front of him." I snorted as he went on. "He's madly in love with you. I never thought he would be he is. I mean who would want to fall in love with a orangutan like you, huh?" I elbowed him as he laughed draping an arm over me. "And you love him?"
"Yes." I simply said with a grin that could not be held.
"It makes me jealous sometimes to see that type of love. I'm happy you have it though. You both seem to be pulled out of that miserable state." He murmured.
"You too, mate. I'm glad Emery came into your life. I mean you haven't smelled this good since the PE teacher had made it a rule to bring deodorant to classes." He laughed flicking my nose as I laid on his shoulder.
We munched on some more snacks until he sat up so fast I fell off the bed backwards.
"Ow!" I hiss looking up at the ceiling with my back to the floor. I winced as I tried to get up. It did not work so I continued laying down to save myself the effort of pain. I am going to slaughter Jordan and then have him hanged in the chimney.
"Shit. Sorry." He piped scrambling to the edge of the bed and staring down at me. I glared at him with all my might. "I just had a brilliant idea."
"Oh here we go." I muttered rolling my eyes. "And what might that be? Surely it would be important enough to fling me off the bed like a damn possessed fish." I growl at him.
He looked at me sheepishly. "I told you I'm sorry Bry. After you here my idea you will love me even more." I raised my eyes skeptically for him to go on. "We both are eighteen now. We can legally get tattoos in Waylerd!"
"Holy shit Jordan! You're right. You bloody batshit genius."
"Thank you for the ovation but we can still make it to the parlor."
I quirk my lips and thought. Those damn security guards the circumference our house would be hard to get past. Especially with my mother high on security after a lot of people who were too obsessed with our lives started breaking in. Most of the time that point would rise high when my grandad was mentioned. I remember how obsessed they were with me. The headlines were a bitch.
An adopted heir to the Weston industries?
Breeding a new multimillionaire child from an ineligible bloodline?
Child or vessel to save the money coffers?
Yeah... those were just some of them. They were a whole darker ones too. I shook out of my thoughts and looked back at Jordan. "The guards."
He limped on the bed disappointedly.
"Wait though." I straightened on my elbows. The harsh screams from his computer still poured through and lit up his silhouette as I went on. "The park has a broke fence. It leads to a trail down to downtown. We can get through."
