Two years later

The room was bleak and sombre. The dense fog of darkness surrounded him like the four walls of the punishment cell. The atmosphere was heavy and sinister. It was filled with a thick, substantial sense of dejection and dolour. It was possible to feel the smell of the reopened wounds and the blooming pain oozing out of the tears which were constantly falling on his lap.

It was the middle of the summer. The bright sun was bringing joy to the people gathered in the yard. All of them were dressed like they were going to celebrate something. They weren't too many, but not too small in number either. The boy in the black suit, that was left alone in the room with his sorrow, could hear their chirps and giggles from the yard of the decorated house and he wanted to feel happy. Don't get him wrong. He was very happy indeed, we could even say that he was the happiest person in the world, but there was something missing. The empty part of his soul was enveloping him in the oppression of grief and he couldn't help, but keep sitting in the dark room and shed silent tears in hope that someone would finally come to him and help him. Maybe someone would hear his pain.

"Soobin?"

The boy didn't raise up his head even when the door cracked open and the lights got turned off, brightening up the atmosphere. Then he heard the footsteps slowly approaching him, a figure, dressed in white suits, kneeling in front of him.

Soobin's eyes hesitantly darted to him, feeling guilty that the boy was having to watch his tear-stained face instead of a happy one. His eyes fixed on the older's sympathetic eyes, staring into them deeply as if he was seeking salvation because he could perfectly see the same pain in his eyes, the same grief, the same loss, the same trace of the violence of life.

"Hey", the boy called gently and softly held his hands in his own, rubbing his thumb against the younger's knuckles as if he was trying to comfort him, "I know exactly what you're feeling right now", he said and his eyes had a trace of sadness in them, but they were still bright, they were still glinting from happiness and Soobin didn't know how he was managing to shine so brightly with those wounds in his heart, "I know you're hurting, but life goes on. He didn't do it for you to sit here and cry on your happiest day", Soobin felt more tears welling up in his eyes and suppressed sobs were choking him.

He saw how a sad, but beautiful smile ran across the older's lips as they moved in a gentle manner to say:

"He did it for us, for our happiness"

"No, no, Yeonjun", Soobin cried bitterly as he stared down at the male in his arms who didn't even have a flicker of life on his face. There was nothing besides blood and heartbreaking signs of death, but still, Soobin couldn't just accept it that he was gone, that he would never look into his sky blue eyes and tell him how much he loved him, how his heart was only beating for him, "Yeonjun, don't leave me", he sobbed, jerking the older's body, "Don't leave me. Don't leave me, please. Please, it hurts. Please, come back. Oh, God"

"Hyung", Kai said softly from beside Soobin as he cried silently and rested his hand on his shoulder, trying to comfort the boy, but Soobin wouldn't stop crying, screaming and calling Yeonjun's name. He didn't want to let go. He wasn't strong enough to take it. He knew he wasn't strong for that.

"Yeonjun, please", he was crying with a muffled voice in Yeonjun's neck while holding his limp body tightly, "Please, baby, why are you hurting me like that? Come on, say something. I can't let you go, please. Please, I love you to death. I will die too, please, come back"
