Two days.

Mr. Schiavon is going to sell my fucking soul to Malcom. Worst part is, I will have no choice but to comply. Two days until I'm tied up, tortured, and abused. My body will be beaten, and probably bruised. Just two days, and I'm going to fucking lose it.

Dante called me today with last minute dinner plans. He wanted to meet before I went away.

He made reservations at a fancy place for eight o'clock. It is dark in here, but the minimal lighting is very blue. I dressed up in a lacy black dress. I'm a little early, so I went ahead and got the table.

This is my first time being out alone since I have met everyone. I have always had someone with me, or at least an escort. I guess Valen is calm knowing that Dante will be here.

Dante walks out in front of me. It's like I thought him into existence.

"Hey!" I smile.

He gives me a quick hug before sitting down. He's in a white shirt and a black tie. He has the sleeves rolled past his wrists. He couldn't sit properly at a table if his life depended on it. He is leaned back in his chair, tapping his fingers.

"I have a surprise for you."

I don't like surprises.

"What?"

He looks behind him and waves someone over. A lady takes a chair from the table next to us and sits to my right.

Her and Dante don't say anything. I'm trying to figure out what is going on, but it's hard to work through the anxiety.

This woman looks like she is in her fifties. Her hair is black, but it is starting to gray. Her eyes are a pretty green color, and her skin is very pale.

She is just smiling at me. Something about her feels familiar though. Is this his rich lady friend or something?

Then it clicks.

"Oh my god... Nicole..."

My aunt Nicole. Dante's mom. She was so sweet to me before we left ten years ago. She would always baby sit, and I remember having such good times with her. The only bit of her that has aged is her hair.

"Oh dear..." She says with watery eyes.

She pulls me in for a hug. I'm usually not comfortable hugging just anyone, but this felt so nostalgic. She's the closest thing I have to a mom right now. I almost want to cry.

I realize now why she looks so sympathetic. I've been alone. I've lost my parents. She probably wishes she was there for me...

She lets go of the hug, but she holds onto my shoulders.

"Ohh look at you! You're so beautiful, and you still have your special eyes."

"Well I don't know where they would've gone." I smile.
