You certainly had a pep on your step when you returned back to camp. Even though eyes were on you and whispered questions and uncertainties were floating through the air, you paid them no mind. You walk past Feng Min, who had her head hanging low, refusing to acknowledge anyone else's existence. She's upset... Good. It's no less than you deserve, bitch. While you made your way towards Dwight, exchanging polite Hellos with a few other survivors, Feng glanced up, making sure you were far enough away from her. When enough distance was made, she walked over to where Jake and a few others were sitting in relative silence. Swallowing the thick lump in her throat, she coughed, getting everyone's attention.
"What?" Jake asked, not bothering to look at her. Ever since the last trial he had with you, he's been even more withdrawn than he usually is. Something's definitely wrong here...
"U-Um... so, Y/N-" Jake stiffens, turning his head so that his face is even more hidden underneath his thick jacket. Something's most definitely wrong...
"I'm- I need to go for a-" Jake starts to stand, but Feng gets in front of him, crouching so she's eye level with him. He refuses to meet her eyes.
"W-Wait! Jus- You know something's wrong, don't you?! She-" Feng pauses, looking over her shoulder to make sure that you're nowhere nearby. Nope, over on the other side of camp with Dwight, of course...
"I think something is seriously wrong with her, don't you?!" Jake shakes his head repeatedly, scoffing.
"How the fuck would I know? Why don't you just go ask her instead of bothering me, huh?" Feng puts her hand on his shoulder, shaking him a little. The others near them are starting to get uneasy, scooting away before standing up and wandering away. Things are getting uncomfortable, to say the least...
"Jake, listen! Something's not right here! I mean- Look! You said it yourself! Y/N started acting weird after her last trial against the Clown, right? W-Well, um, I-" Jake grabs her wrist and removes her hand from his shoulder, giving her a glare.
"Don't- Look, I don't fucking know what's happening, alright?! Ju- Please just drop it. I don't wan-" He pinches the bridge of his nose, sighing deeply. He doesn't want to fucking think about it anymore...
"B-But ju-just listen for a sec! I- uh, I d-did... something last trial-" Feng trips on her words. She's actually going to admit what she did. She knows it was fucked up, but... She needed to test something. She needed to see if her hunch was true or not...
" 'Something'? What is- What? What did you-" Jake narrowed his eyes suspiciously. Feng lowered her head, wringing her hands together.
"I... I did something... messed up. I-I just- things have been so wrong and she's not talking to us, anymore, so I-" Feng started to trip on her words, a knot forming in her stomach. Yeah, what she did was fucked up, but she got her answer...
"Spit it out already! What the hell did you do, Feng?!" Jake was getting annoyed and fast. Not only does he not want to be bothered, but he hates when people beat around the bush like this. Feng scratches the back of her neck, before lowering her head again.
"I- sigh... I sabotaged a hook beside her and hid so I could see what the killer would do around her..." Feng flinches when Jake bolts upright, grabbing her by the front of her shirt.
"You fucki- You did fucking what?! Feng you fucking- You-! Do you have any idea how fucking dangerous and stupid that was?! Why- How could- UGH!" Jake abruptly lets go of her, pushing her away slightly so that he has some space. He cannot believe that she would do something so maliciously stupid! Feng quickly became defensive, getting in Jake's way so he wouldn't walk away from her.
"Will yo- Hey! I'm still talking, damn it- JAKE! Fu- Just wait a second, you'll wanna hear this!" He rolled his eyes, awkwardly rubbing the back of his neck when others began to stare at them.
"F- Son of a- Whatever! Just fucking spit it out already! Jesus Christ...!" He swears underneath his breath.
"Look, Jake, when I- When I did that, the killer didn't even go for her! They just... stood there! Stood there u-until-" Feng looked over her shoulder, pulling Jake away so that no one else would hear their conversation. "The killer wasn't interested in killing, or even attacking her! But, she- Y/N saw where I was hiding and she fucking ratted me out, Jake! She showed the killer where I was and he got me!" Jake paused, unsure of how to process this information. On one hand, Feng fucking deserved it. On the other hand... Another survivor harmed the other. What Feng did was beyond fucked, but you actively showed the killer where she was hiding. This is...
"W- Feng, do- do you- Do you know what you're trying to say here..? Like- Heh-..." Jake rubs the back of his neck. He keeps having flashbacks to- he- no- he can't stop thinking about...-
"Jake! I swear to God-! Look! A-After I w-was hooked, u-um I-I'm pretty sure she and the k-killer walked off together..! Like, completely chill, walking away, side by side!" Feng was shaking slightly, looking down at the ground. Jake rubbed his face, glancing over Feng's shoulder to see if he could spot you. No, perhaps you've moved out of sight..? Doesn't matter. What she's saying...
"F-Feng... a-are you accusing her of- of, what? Fraternizing with a killer..? O-Or what? Huh ?" Jake couldn't believe it. There's no way in fucking hell that anyone would do that! E-Especially you! R-Right..?
"L-Look, Jake, I don't know, o-okay?! I. Don't. Fucking. Know! All I know for sure is what I saw, okay?! I-I know I shouldn't have done what I did, but, at the same time, that's fucked up! " Feng points over her shoulder in the vague direction you were last seen in. Jake slaps her arm down.
"Fu- Will you just relax, damn it! You don't know that for a fact, do you?! You were hooked! Are you fucking sure you saw that?!" Feng pauses, brows furrowed, then grimaces. She was hooked, and... well she couldn't see that well, in the poor light and in her panicked state. Shit...
"U-Um... I, well, I'm not one hundred percent sure..." Jake throws his hands up, shaking his head while walking away.
"God DAMN IT! Feng- Ju- Fuck you! Seriously. Fuck. YOU. Leave her alone and fuck off before you do something we all will regret. And fucking apologize to her right. NOW." Jake stomps off, leaving Feng wilting in his wake. She really did feel like a piece of shit. Maybe- Maybe she did see it wrong... She buries her face in her hands.
Maybe she's finally losing her mind...
