Zim stood on a dark stage, his tallests in front of him, the whole irken nation behind him. A bright spotlight cast over him causing excited whispers to be whipped around as his Tallests stepped forward. "Listen Zim '' his Tallests commanded, their faces cast in shadow, their jagged teeth glinting as they spoke. "We don't want you anymore." Tallest Red growled, Tallest Purple nodded "Yea, you've proved practically nothing as an invader!"
Another figure walked out from the shadows to Zim's right, a darker shadow across his face but a blinding glare over his lenses "I don't want to ever see you again." he growled walking closer "You ruined everything!"
The crowd of irkens began to cheer at Dib's accusations, calling Zim names and cursing his existence.
"Defective! Smallest!  Useless! Traitor! Broken! "Failure!" The crowd cheered louder "Rip off his Pak! Throw him in prison! Burn him alive! Drown him!" Zim gripped onto his anteni trying to make their voices stop. "Silence!" Zim commanded as their words bore deeper into his mind "Stop it!" Zim begged, kneeling on the floor gripping onto his anteni.
"I'll stop it," Tallest Red's voice whispered. "I'll make it all go away." Zim looked up to see Tallest red standing above him, black cell bars between them. Tallest Red's claws stretched through the bars wrapping around Zim, the light disappearing behind his dark shadow. "All you have to do is say yes." Red purred through a deep and menacing laugh.
"Come here Zim."

Zim bolted awake, his whole body trembling and his breath jagged and sharp. Looking around he found himself in the Dib's living room. Sliding back onto the cushions Zim muttered "Oh thank Irk it was just a nightmare." His magenta eyes glimmered in the dark, his vision non-obscured by his contacts as he looked around. "It's rather dark, I wonder what time it is" Zim thought as he glanced over to the window.
Hoping off the couch Zim walked over to one of the windows that looked out into the street. "Well the Earthen Sun hasn't risen yet so I'd assume that means it's still late, but judging by the position of the stars in correlation to what I remember from last time, and the lights in the houses, I'd safely assume it should be rising soon." Turning back to look at the large dark empty house Zim whimpered "But what to do till then?" He thought.

Lizzy opened her eyes as her alarm buzzed signaling time for her to get up. Rolling over and clicking it off, Lizzy caught the scent of homemade waffles and syrup. Lizzy furrowed her brows "Did Dib wake up early and make breakfast?" Flipping over in bed Lizzy was greeted with a raspy tired "Good morning" from her husband. Without thinking at first she returned the gesture "Good morning Dib" She said before sitting straight up and looking at her husband, eyes wide. "Dib?" She questioned. Sitting up to join her Dib rubbed the sleep out of his eyes "What?" He asked.
"I thought you were up already," she stammered. Raising a brow he reached for his glasses, "On a Sunday?" He asked clearly amused with the thought. Lizzy looked at the bedroom door. "Then who's making breakfast?" She asked her husband nervously. The two of them stared at each other in a stunned silence before they both hurriedly hopped out of bed and rushed down the stairs.

Ash stared at his parents who both froze coming down the stairs. Ash was seated at the dining table a plate of waffles and a glass of juice set before him, he was all dressed up and ready for the day as if someone had woken him up earlier. With a wide grin he turned to the kitchen "Mommy and daddy are awake now!" He cheered. Turning to follow his gaze the two parents locked eyes with a fully disguised Zim, still wearing the large tee he fell asleep in. Zim stood on a stool cooking eggs a bowl of waffle batter next to him. With an awkward smile he let out a forced laugh, trying to be casual. "Zim made you waffles?" He said, phrasing it as more of a question than a response.
Hearing this Dib's face melted into a gentle smile "Waffles huh? Sounds delicious" he said his voice soft and reminiscent. With his confidence restored Zim grinned his jagged teeth showing. "Why of course they are delicious, the Almighty Zim made them after all."
With the table all set Zim gestured "There you may all now sit and partake upon Zim's glorious waffles!" Lizzy sat down and took a curious bite of the waffle, chewing it slowly, the flavor was odd, it had a softness to it almost as if something was missing, but it was all there at the same time. "These taste kinda odd," She thought "I wonder if Dib thinks the same thing," turning to ask Dib she stopped as she watched him happily chowing down on the odd tasting waffles.
"Mmmmm" Dib purred "I forgot how good these where, this feels so nostalgic" he grinned taking another bite. Zim lifted his head and turned to face them at the table "Well yes of course, it is my superior Irken recipe afterall." He said before returning his focus to the stove. Turning to Lizzy with a wide grin Dib asked her "What do you think sweetheart? I used to eat these all the time when I was in high-school." Lizzy gave a soft smile and nodded "yea, they have a very unique flavor" she said before taking another nervous bite of waffle and staring down at the plate "I wonder what he put into these" she thought.
Stopping before taking another bite Dib turned to the stove, "Hey Zim are you planning on eating with us?" Grabbing the pan and pouring the contents onto a plate Zim growled, annoyed with being rushed, "Yes yes Dib, Zim is coming."
Turning off the stove Zim hoped down off the stool the plate in hand before climbing up onto the seat across from Dib and setting the plate down. "Here Zim has cooked up the chicken eggs now" Ash grinned enthusiastically "Yay!" Lizzy looked at them and tilted her head "You only made three?" Scooping one onto Ash's plate with a spatula Zim tuned to Lizzy "Zim doesn't like eggs, Zim only made them because the Ash smeet wanted some, be grateful that Zim made some for the rest of you." Ash took a bite of an egg covered in syrup "Thank You Zim!" Closing his eyes and taking a bite of waffle, Zim huffed "Yes yes Ash Smeet, your welcome" Dib lifted an eyebrow and looked at Zim, "Geez Zim is it really that hard for you to be polite?" With a gaze that seemed to freeze Dib, Zim opened his eyes and looked directly at him, his violet contacts glinted. "Don't try my patience Dib, you'll find Zim has yet to forgive what you did." Dib tried to reason with him "Zim I-" but he was quickly cut off with a dagger-like response. "Just eat your waffles Dib-beast" his voice seemed to cut off and his gaze lowered to the fork "Gir would have been upset if you didn't."
Dib and Zim fell into a dead silence; the only sound was the clicking of silverware across the plates. Lizzy bit her lip "Gir, who's that? And what's up with the nickname?" She thought to herself as she watched the two in silence.
Breaking the silence Ash finished up his breakfast "I'm done" he smiled, glad to take any excuse to leave Lizzy offered to take Ash "You shure?" Dib asked "yea you two finish your breakfast, come on Ash." Hoping down from his seat the two disappeared up the stairs.

"She shouldn't have done that" Zim said in a flat voice that made Dib shiver "Why would you say that?" Dib strained.
Setting his fork down on the table, Zim's eyes sliced into Dib's, jagged teeth bared in a twisted smile. "Because now you're dead Dib-beast."
