"You know, circumstances aside, I think our new forms are pretty neat."

"We've been human before, Boulder." Heatwave reminded.

"Yeah, but we swapped bodies that time. Now we have human bodies of our own."

Heatwave shrugged and strode to another part of the room to be alone.

Chief, Kade, Dani, and Graham went back to the firehouse to bring them some clothes so they could go shopping later, and in the meantime, Cody and Frankie were online shopping for furniture for their rooms.

So far, everyone except for Blurr and Salvage picked out the furniture for their new rooms. Blurr was torn between two choices of beds while Salvage debated buying a premade bed or building it himself. In the end, Blurr finally made up his mind, and Frankie convinced Salvage to order a bed, telling him he'd be able to put it together when it arrived.

The Burnses finally returned and handed out each outfit they brought. After briefly explaining how to put on each garment correctly, they separated into their respective rooms to change.

As it was their first time using clothing, some struggle was expected. Hightide found that the shirt Kade lent him was a little tight, so he traded it for one of Chief's shirts instead.

Blurr somehow tangled himself up in one of Graham's dressing shirts and then couldn't figure out how to button it properly.

Salvage put Chief's jeans on inside-out and kept getting confused about which shirt opening his head was supposed to go through.

Quickshadow mainly struggled with the sports bra Dani lent her. Dani stood outside her room, trying to explain how to wear it properly. Aside from that, she got dressed pretty fast and was the second one done.

Chase didn't really have a hard time getting ready; the only issue he faced was that the uniform the Chief lent him was a little large on him, so he switched with Hightide and wore one of Kade's shirts instead.

Heatwave spent a good 15 minutes struggling with the suspenders before ultimately giving up and tossing them to some random corner of his room.

Boulder didn't struggle per se; he just took a while. He analyzed each garment to figure out how to wear it properly.

Blades was surprisingly the only one who didn't struggle with the clothing. He was the first done, dressed in one of Graham's old T-shirts and jeans.

All in all, they eventually finished getting ready and bridged back to Griffin Rock, where they piled into Doc's van and drove to the shopping center downtown.

"You guys okay back there?" Frankie asked and received a choir of mixed responses.

"This feels weird," Blurr commented, looking around the van. He could hardly see out the window, given how cramped it was.

"Not to mention uncomfortable," HighTide muttered next to him.

Doc was driving, and Cody and Frankie were riding shotgun, leaving the eight of them to cram into the back of the van along with Doc's equipment.

"Strange enough that we turned human; now we're riding in vehicles as passengers."

"I believe you are forgetting our using the MHQ?" Chase pointed out.

"We were still ourselves, Chase." Boulder placed a hand on his shoulder, hinting that now wasn't a good time for his bluntness.

"We should've been more alert. None of this would've happened if we had stopped Dither." Heatwave gave his two cents from his cramped corner of the van.
