2 YEARS LATER

New York, is my favourite city and my new current home. It's been 2 years since I said goodbyes to all of my friends. 2 years since I talked to Niklaus. Caroline and Damon call me once a day and it's been like this for 2 years. I know everything that's been happening in Mystic Falls, thanks to the world's best reporters Damon and Caroline. I know from the sacrifice till the cure hunt. And I also know Nik escaped death thrice these past years and we have already lost the boring elder brother Finn. The best news since these years is Bexs killing the doppleränger and accidentally turning her into a vampire plus she being sired to Damon Salvatore. Esther came back from the dead and Mikealsons were like 'OMG KLAUS YOU KILLED HER, WE HATE YOU BROTHER' and nobody knew that I know he killed the mama witch.

Tonight is fireworks night and I have always loved fireworks. So I am going. After a while, I reached the destination and sat at the top so that I can see clearly. "You always loved New York's fireworks," this British voice which I can recognise from a mile came from next to me, "Niklaus evening, long time no see." he turned towards me and pulled me into a hug. "Hello love and yes long time but first the fireworks, we can't miss them Golden," this nickname from his mouth feels like heaven. I was so lost in my thoughts that I didn't hear the show started.
As I heard it I lifted my head to watch the beautiful sparkles scatter across the sky. As the show finished I quickly turned my head towards the crossbreed. "Why are you here Nik?" I asked firmly not wanting to show how nervous I am. "I just came to meet my friend, and enjoy the night with her as I have to leave for mystic falls in the morning," he said casually. I narrowed my eyes at him, "Something is wrong Niklaus I know you very well so go away I don't want to spend the night with you," I started to walk in the opposite direction.

"Why?" he asked innocently. "Because you never called and you pretend like I never existed. And you never told Rebekah that we met again, I guess she still thinks I am still running from you like Kat." I shouted at him and tried to run away but he grabbed my hand and pulled me into a hug and allowed me to cry on his shoulder. "Shh... I am so sorry Scarlett. I shouldn't have given up on you and I should have told Rebekah but if I have told her she would call you every day and I can't let her talk to you if I did she would also leave me because I let you go," he stated and loosen the hug and I let myself out "you still think that you will be left behind Niklaus. Remember she is your sister and where is Elijah by the way?" I asked him while picking up my bags and starting to leave. I heard him following. "I don't know about Elijah and yes you are right she is my sister who is obsessed with the cure and Stefan," he joked about the last part. We were now near my penthouse but, "Ok where do you want to spend the night?" I asked him and received a cute little smile. "Come on let's have some hot dog... vendor," and again he whispered the last word.

We spent the whole night eating food or humans and dancing, talking and a lot more. The night was beautiful. It felt so great to have Niklaus here. "Come on let's go home and remember I am coming with you in the morning," I told him and by his look, I can tell he is happy.

We were back home and laying on my bed. Relaxing. "You remember when we had lunch with the five, Alexander?" I nodded, "That period was horrific. Thank God he didn't dagger me," I smirked. "Yeah but that was a wonderful time. I got the daggers," he said "Always looking for your own benefit Niklaus," I said and he turned towards me. There was very little space between us. He wrapped his arms around me and pulled me closer. I gave him a big smile as his eyes locked with mine. I want everything this world provides and more of the above I want to feel Niklaus's lips on mine once again. Suddenly he crashed his lips on mine and I liked that. The way his lips moved with mine and neither of us regret it. I wanted this to happen for thousands of years. I wrapped my arms around his neck and he climbed above me. His eyes met mine once again. And that was when I busted into a laugh. He was confused. "I'm sorry Niklaus, this was great but I don't know why am I laughing. And you know one thing," I paused to speak the other word 'cause it's the biggest and the best thing I will ever say. "I love you Niklaus Mikealson and I have and I will forever love you even if you don't" I finished only when he once again crashed his lips on mine. "I will also forever love you Golden" and that's when I crashed my lips on my lips letting my hands travel from his back to his hair. He did the same, he slipped his hands in my hair. I ripped his shirt from the back and threw it on the floor. He pulled me up as I sat on his lap and locked my legs around his waist. His hands were still on my back and started to rip my top open. And the night continued like this.

I was blessed to have him in my life and even if the world thinks he is the worst person in the world, the Monster then also I will love him. And we enjoyed the night like that. THE BEST NIGHT!
... next morning ...
I woke up from the sunlight with Niklaus by my side. Last night was amazing. Suddenly Nik's phone rang. He stretched his arm to reach it and pick it up. It was Rebekah. "Good Morning Nik. Where are you?" She slightly shouted at him. "Morning Sister. And I am out of town and will reach there today only. Have fun." He told her and hang up the call. He closed his eyes again. I guess he didn't notice I was awake and I planned to keep it like that. My head was on his bare chest. Moving up and down as he breathes. I decided to break the silence. "Good morning Niklaus," he opened his eyes and pulled me closer to kiss my head. "Morning Golden." And again I hugged him tighter. "I guess you heard me talking to sister. So are you coming with me back to Mystic Falls?" He asked me. I kissed his hand that was wrapped around me and said "Yes I am coming," as I said I got out of bed to get changed. I got freshened up and wore my black dress with my leather jacket paired with black boots and open hair. After that, I and Nik went to my car and left for Mystic Falls.

Later: We arrived at Mystic Falls and I straight went to the boarding house. I and Nik discussed that we will tell Caroline, Damon, Stefan, and the Mikealson family that we are together. So I called Caroline to come to the boarding house. As I reached the door, the door got opened before I rang the bell. "Welcome back Witchy," said Damon with a smirk on his face. I threw myself into his arm, "I am back..."

"Come on Caroline is waiting," he said and we walked inside to find Caroline sitting on the sofa, all tensed. "Blondie why all tensed when I am back," I announced with a smirk. "Scarlett you are back," she said and ran into my open arms. We all sat near the fireplace with a glass of Bourbon in each of our hands. "So I want to tell you both something... very important" both of their eyes were on me, locked. "Ok it's very important and please none of you has to shout," I said trying to delay the topic. "Stop delaying the main point Scar," said Damon with an annoyed face. "Ok I am with Niklaus, we kissed back in New York yesterday and we are together. In a relationship," I said as fast as can with my eyes closed. "I won the bet, Damon. My 20 dollars please," said Caroline to Damon. I am confused. "What Caroline," I asked and they both busted into a laugh. "Sorry Scar but we kept a bet that you will or you will not kiss Klaus. And I said you will not so Caroline won," Damon told me. "This was a stupid bet just like you too," I said and stormed out of the room into my bedroom. Still, I can hear them both laughing.
