After leaving Oga's Cantina, Kira had led the Bad Batch around Black Spire Outpost to find some jobs for quick hire. They were rather lucky, much to their benefit. Being she was an established name, but also one who had stacked up quite a few favors over the years, she was ready to cash them in as exchange for the clones to work.

A kind older man named Savi ran the local scrap shop and the scrap yard as well. He was a very...unique human. The way he acted, the Force prayer tree out front of his shop...Kira wondered if he was an undercover Jedi or someone along the likes of being Force sensitive. They had a mutual relationship though, and it was kept that way to never pry into the other's business despite knowing something different was there. Savi was welcome to hire Wrecker and Hunter, as they were the best with physical labor.

From there, the Droid Depot was the next job on the list. A Utai male worked there, one by the name of Mubo. He was a sixth generation droid builder and his repair shop reflected on that history. Mubo was more than eager to hire Tech and Echo, seeing them both as valuable assets.

That meant one clone remained...and out of all the clones of course he would be the one hanging behind.

"Crosshair, tell me you're good at something else other than firing your rifle," Kira asked with hope, sitting beside his stool at Ronto's Roasters.

Their carved wooden table had a nice view looking out at the Outpost, and with no windows it kept a nice breeze in the otherwise warm restaurant. The podracing engine hanging from the ceiling- being used specifically as a roasting pit- was placed awkwardly in the center of the dining area. Maybe some would call it classy to watch their meat be cooked fresh before their eyes but Kira saw it as more of a nuisance. That's why she usually took her meal to-go but today she was dining in with Crosshair. Huh. That was a sentence she never thought she'd ever think about.

"No buff arms, no techie knowledge...what is your forte?" Kira continued, trying to get some information out of the testy clone trooper.

"Sorry I don't meet your special little bubble of qualifications. I'm a sniper," he replied, glancing at her before taking another bite of his food. "What do you expect me to do exactly?"

She sighed, trying to stay patient with him. "Well, if we can't find you a job, then...you're stuck with me."

That made him groan. "You are punishing me for having only one specialty. I'm a clone, a soldier of war, an assassin of stealth- lest you have forgotten. I can't simply beckon to doing certain jobs with specific expertise. No one will hire me with no background experience. You already know that too."

Kira hummed, not directly answering. "It's not a punishment and I'm not expecting you to change. I wasn't sure if you were able to do anything else."

He looked away. "Sorry to disappoint you."

She cringed softly, not meaning this conversion to go this way. "I'm not disap-"

"What about you?"

She leaned back. "Me?"

"Yes, you. How do you plan on contributing to the massive debt that you acquired?" He looked at her again, his piercing brown eyes cold as ever. She wondered if there could ever be a warmth.

"I was going to help out at this place maybe. Figured Bakkar, the owner, might need help serving some of his famous Ronto Wraps." She would have to go through her valuables later in attempt to sell anything to Dok Ondar. "Business is usually busy and an extra hand can always be needed."

Bakker overheard that conversation as he passed by to deliver an order to another table. He was an older gentleman, seasoned from more than just selling food. "Sorry to break it to you Shadow, but I'm not in need of any extra help right now. Podracing season is fast approaching and I close down for those couple months, you know that. Haven't missed a race in thirty years and don't plan on starting now. Why don't you try Oga's?"
