It has been two months since Olivia was born and Laurel had gone back to work at the DA's office two weeks earlier. She had also started working out as soon as she was able so that she would be able to get back out in the field with the team. Tonight was actually the night that she would be going out for her first time since she found out that she was pregnant and she was really looking forward to it.

"So, do you really think you are ready to get back out there tonight? Don't you think it is a little soon?" Sara asked her sister.

"I don't think it is too soon. I feel like I am in just as good of shape as I was before I got pregnant and I have been working on my fighting skills as well, and I think they are just as good, if not better than they were before I had to take off the time for the pregnancy." Laurel said.

"Ok, I was just making sure. We don't want you out there before you are ready." Sara said.

"Ollie thinks that I am ready or else he wouldn't even be entertaining the idea of me getting back out there yet." Laurel said.

"Yeah, I think he is just scared of you." Sara said and both of the sisters had a laugh at that.

"You might be right. If I find out that I am not ready while we are out there tonight, I will take some more time off until I know for sure that I am ready." Laurel said.

"Good. I think either Ollie or I will be staying with you tonight just to make sure that something doesn't happen that you can't handle." Sara said.

"I would expect nothing less. So, let's get ready." Laurel said as both of the sisters went to change into their suits.

. . .

Once everyone was dressed, they all met back in the meeting area of the bunker to discuss what would be happening that night.

"John and Roy, I want you two patrolling the south side of the city. Sara and Tommy, you will take the north side. Thea and Emiko, you will take the west side. Laurel and I will take the east side. If anyone has any trouble, make sure to call for backup. We don't need anyone to get hurt out there tonight." Oliver said and the rest of the team nodded and went to take care of their area of the city.

Black Canary and Green Arrow came up on a bank robbery as soon as they got to the east side of the city. Black Canary was chomping at the bit to get some action after so many months. She entered the bank with Green Arrow as her backup and they took the four men down easily. Once they left the bank Black Canary looked at Green Arrow and asked, "So, do you think that I should still be sitting out right now?"

"After what I just saw, I think that you are good to go. I no longer feel that I need to worry about you out here. Although, I do think that I will be accompanying you out here for a while just to make sure." Green Arrow said.

"That makes sense, I guess. I just hope this gets Sara off my back. I don't think she wanted me out here yet." Black Canary said.

"Your sister just cares about you. That's all that is. She just wants you to be safe." Green Arrow said.

"I know. She just made it sound like she didn't trust me out here or something like that." Black Canary said.

"I know that is not a fact. She probably trusts you more than anyone else out here." Green Arrow said.

"I am sure you are right. I just don't like her questioning me like she did earlier." Black Canary said.

"I know, and after tonight, she will be fine with you being back out in the field." Green Arrow said.

"You're right. Let's get back to work." Black Canary said as they got back to their patrol.

. . .

Later that night the team met back up in the bunker and Sara pulled Oliver aside. "So, how did she do tonight?" Sara asked.

"She did great. You don't have to worry about her anymore other than the usual worry that we have for one another." Oliver said.

"Well, that's a relief. I didn't know for sure if she was ready yet, but if you say she is I believe you." Sara said.

"She is ready. Although, I think you might want to talk to her about everything. I think you might have pissed her off a bit with all the questions earlier." Oliver said.

"I will be sure to do that. Thanks for letting me know." Sara said as she walked over to her sister.

. . .

"Hey sis. From what Oliver said I take it that you did a good job tonight." Sara said.

"I think I did. So, how did things go for you and Tommy out there tonight?" Laurel asked.

'Everything went fine. Laurel, I want to apologize for the way that I questioned you earlier. I was just concerned is all." Sara said.

"I understand Sara and I appreciate the apology. I just thought you didn't trust me out there for some reason." Laurel said.

"I trust you with my life. I just didn't want you out there if you weren't ready, which I now see that you are from what Ollie said. I won't be questioning you anymore." Sara said.

"Thanks Sara. So, when do you think you might come over and see your niece and nephew? Conner was talking about how he hadn't seen you in a while the other day." Laurel said.

"I will make sure to come over soon. I have just been busy with club and protecting the city. I know that is no excuse though." Sara said.

"Just be sure to come over in the next couple of days. You would be surprised how much Olivia has grown already." Laurel said.

"I will be sure to do that. Let's go and see what the rest of the team is up to. Maybe we will be able to go home soon. I am tired." Sara said as the sisters walked back over to the team and soon they were all headed home for the night.
