The Fall of Magnus

The AO walked cautiously through the halls of AAAnimus' HQ. There hadn't been any sign of the Exit team....or Magnus. As they went through the door that led into Philomena's office they felt a bit more safe. "Ms. Philomena. The Awesome Ones as requested." Kravitz said infront of them. "Ah, the Awesome Ones." She said before they found themselves all sitting down at a table drinking tea together.

"Alright, this isn't a tea party. What do you really want Philomena?" Dan asked suspicious "Well the truth is...I want to recruit you." Philomena told them "Whaaaaat???" They all said confused "But what about the Exit?" Dan asked concerned about Magnus "The Exit team have been disbanded and all the former members....have been fired." She said almost uncaring.

"What!? But what about Magnus?!" Dan shouted. Everyone looked at him confused "Um, I mean and all the others of course." He added quickly, laughing nervously "Well to answer your question, like I said they were all fired." "Yeah, but I mean why did you fire them?" "The Exit weren't the right people to be the face of AAAnimus. They tried to steal the core cell, you all actually stopped them from doing so." Philomena said.

"Ok, so you want us instead?" Lia asked "Yes. If AAAnimus teams up with the Awesome Ones then we'll have your fans loyalty and support. And with your help we can make this a perfect world. I believe that bakugan and humans can live in harmony." She finished "We'll think about it." Dan said still wary of Philomena. "That's all I ask." She replied as the AO walked out.

~Back outside AAAnimus HQ~

"We'll think about it? What are you up too Dan?" Asked Wynton "Yeah and why were so concerned about Magnus, Dan? I mean he tried to annihilate us." Lia reminded him "I know, I know. I guess I was just...worried about him." He told her "Why?" "I don't know it's just that I...I saw him collapse unconscious after the battle." Dan said "What?!" They all exclaimed.

"I think that device sucked all the energy out of him." "You don't think they would actually just let him suffer when he needed help do you?" Shun asked innocently "I don't know but what I do know is that the rest of the Exit team seemed really concerned and worried for Magnus so maybe..." Dan drifted off "They took him to a hospital!" Exclaimed Wynton.

"Or maybe they took him back to Emily." Suggested Lia "Alright we'll find Emily and ask if she's seen her brother and if she hasn't then we'll go ask the hospital if he's been admitted." Dan said "Okay then let's get going!" Wynton said bored.

~At the park~

"Emily!" Dan shouted as the AO all walked over to Emily "Oh! Hi Awesome Ones. Why are you guys here?" She asked "Oh, that? We were looking for Magnus and were wondering if you'd seen him. So have you?" He asked "No, sorry. I haven't seen my big brother since yesterday when he went on a mission." Emily told them sadly.

"Oh, well, don't worry Emily. We'll find him for you." "Thanks Dan. Oh and when you find him could you tell me?" "You'll be the first to know. Also if Magnus comes back could you tell us?" "Of course I will. Bye AO!" "Bye Emily!" They all called out as they headed back to the exit of the park.

~At the hospital~

"Okay well just because they didn't take Magnus to Emily that doesn't mean they didn't take him to the hospital." Dan said as they walked inside the large, white building. "So how exactly are we going to find out if Magnus is in here?" Shun asked "Yeah. I mean this place isn't exactly tiny." Wynton stated.

"Watch and learn Wynton." Dan said confidently as he walked over to the lady at the reception desk "Hi, I was wondering. Has there been anyone named Magnus Black admitted lately?" He asked "Um, just a second, let me check." She said and started looking through files. "My apologies but there hasn't been anyone under that name admitted into our care.".

"Oh, well, thanks. Sorry for wasting your time." Dan apologised before heading back over to the rest of the team. "Well that was a bust. I guess the only option that we have left is-" Dan started but was suddenly interrupted by his phone buzzing. He pulled out the device and answered the call.

Kravitz' face came onto the screen and she started screaming, "Awesome Ones! Where are you?!" "Huh?" They all exchanged confused looks "The Core Cell excavation site is under attack!!" "What?!" Everyone shouted. "Get over here right now!" The screen shut after that but they didn't notice that since they were already on their bakugan and heading towards the excavation site.

When they got there the Core Cell was being lifted up into the sky "Get away from the Core Cell!" Dan shouted at them before landing and jumping off of Drago's back "I wont let you lay a finger on the Core Cell!" "Don't get excited kid! There's no way you could defeat us by yourself." The man who seemed to be in charge said. Their bakugan started barking at them and Dan glared realising that they were right.

"Who said he's alone?" Called Lia. They all looked at her and the rest of the Awesome Ones on top of their bakugan "Don't forget about us." "We haven't accepted Philomena's job offer but are we on?" Wynton asked Dan "These guys are trying to steal the Core Cell. Oh, yeah. We're on." He replied before a look of confusion was fixed into his face as the Core Cell started glowing brightly "Huh?" Everyone stared in amazement and confusion.

"It's the Core Cell." The Pyrus brawler said then a BakuCore appeared and shone "Dan?" Drago said "Let's do this!" He exclaimed before picking up the BakuCore and absorbing all of it's energy. "Pyrus evolution." Dan called throwing the BakuCore at Drago "Hyper Drago!" He shouted as Drago transformed into his evolved form "Use Drago fury." The pyrus brawler commanded "You got it Dan." Replied Drago conjuring up a fire ball before shooting it at the rest of the bakugan.

The powerful blast took out two of the bakugan in one go and turning them both back into their ball form "Ugh! With a single attack?" Their leader said to himself "He's too strong." He said looking at Dan and Drago who were smirking at them. "Um, so, retreat!" He commanded and they all fled far away from them. "We did it." Dan said to Drago.

~Later~

"Hey, guys? I think we should take Philomena's offer." The pyrus brawler said "Huh?" They all said in confusion "You mean join AAAnimus? Dude, you do realise what you're saying, don't you?" Asked Wynton "I know you're upset about Benton and Magnus, but still." Said Lia staring at him as if he were mad. "It's not that. I just really think that the best way to protect the Core Cell is to be close to it," Dan lied - That wasn't the only reason he wanted to join, he also wanted to join so he could find Magnus - "I agree with Dan," Drago said believing his little white lie.

"We can't afford to stay away from the Core Cell." Dan smiled at his partner "I sensed it," He said "The Core Cell was... It was calling to us." "But Dan-" Lia started but was interrupted by Dan saying, "I'm not saying that I trust Philomena or that I want to be on her side or anything like that." "You know what? This might just be the perfect chance. We can find out what AAAnimus is plotting and what they want with the Core Cell. Let's expose the truth from the inside." Said Wynton standing up.

Shun then stood up too and said, "OK. If that's what we're doing, then I'm in. And since the city of Los Volmos is involved now, AAAnimus won't be able to get to us. We'll be kind of protected." Lia nodded in agreement and Dan stood up pulling her up with him "OK. We'll call this the great AAAnimus infiltration operation." The pyrus brawler said "Yeah!" They all exclaimed whilst throwing their hands in the air. "OK, but that name is brutal." Said Lia and they all laughed.
