Sunghoon's POV

A week after Jake's Birthday, something is off with him. Something changed. I mean he's still Jake, his personality is the same, his characteristics and physical features too.  It's just his time schedule and actions changed.

He sleeps late than usual. Both of us sleep at 9:30. 10 if we have a lot of homeworks and projects to do. I even woke up 2 in the morning talking with someone on the phone. Everytime I ask him about it he just says the same thing, "nothing". Well it surely isn't nothing. It's something and it's bothering me.

We haven't even hung out lately. After school,  he goes with me, Heeseung, Sunoo and Ni-ki to study. But that doesn't mean we're having fun. Once we get home, he goes on his phone and directly dial the number. I ask him always what he wants to eat and he doesn't respond to me so I cook whatever I feel like to.

Don't get it wrong, he's not ignoring me. We still talk everyday but not like the old times. He spends more time with his phone.

Tomorrow is my birthday and I expect that he'll do something like surprises, take me out on lunch or dinner, hangout in the mall, pool party again, or even just cuddles all day with him it'll be fine, I'm not a materialistic person. I had my hopes high. I hope I won't be disappointed.

Nobody's POV

Sunghoon slept later than Jake. He fell asleep at 3am already, 20 minutes after Jake did. As usual, Jake was uncalled with someone. Sunghoon can't hear the voice whether if it is a girl or a boy since Jake wear his airpods. He seemed very enjoyed when he's talking to that person.

Sunghoon didn't know if Jake knew he was just pretending to be asleep but when the clock hit 12, he didn't greet Sunghoon.

Sunghoon thought the younger slept late because he waited at midnight to greet the older but he didn't. He keeps talking about random things to whoever is in call with his boyfriend.

Sunghoon was still in dreamland when Jake woke him up. "Hoonie? Wake up please. Hoonie?" Jake said as he was gently slapping his boyfriend's cheek. When Sunghoon opened his eyes, he saw Jake well dressed. He looks like he'll go put with someone. He knew Jake prepared something.

"Jakey, five more minutes." Sunghoon said pretending to be uninterested. "You can go back to sleep I just got to tell you something." Jake said that made Sunghoon wondered what the younger will say. "Why? Where are you going?" Sunghoon asked.

"I'm going to meet someone today. I'll be back before 10pm I promise Hoonie." Jake said then pecked Sunghoon's lips.

He then sprinted outside the room and went to the place he'll meet up 'someone'. It's probably the person he keeps talking to the phone.

Sunghoon felt disappointed and mostly hurt. "Did he forgot my birthday?" Sunghoon asked himself. "No Sunghoon don't think like that. He probably is readying something. I know he'll surprise you. Keep your hopes up." He said cheering up himself.

He grabbed his phone that was on the side table to watch the time. It was already 9:30. He overslept. There were messages of him from his family and friends greeting him happy birthday.
