"Mommy, can we get some ice cream, or something to eat?" Angel said tugging on his mother arms.
Symphony rolled her eyes and crouched down so she was at eye level with her son. She decided to complete some Christmas shopping and like the momma boy Angel was, he wanted to tag along. Now, she was regretting even telling him where she was going.
"You aren't getting any ice cream so what do you want to eat?" She asked fixing his sweater.
"I don't know, chicken nuggets." He said.
"Chicken nuggets it is—" she tried to say but Angel cut her off.
"Mommy, look! Can I get on!" He shouted, pointing to the little train that was going in a circle.
Before Symphony was even able to answer Angel took off without his mother. "Angel!" She yelled chasing after him.
Angel was running so fast he didn't notice the man walking diagonally from him. Crashing into the man legs, Symphony breathing stopped as Angel became entangled in the man legs. The two wobbled as they both tried to catch their balance. The man grabbed Angel and steadied the both of them before they were able to fall.
"Angel!" Symphony yelled running up to them.
She grabbed Angel and crouched down, examining him to make sure he wasn't hurt. "What did I tell you about running Angle? You know better!" She said holding him.
"I-I'm sorry." He said tearing up.
Symphony rolled her eyes and brought Angel into a hug. She was upset, beyond upset, but now wasn't the time or the place to scold him. He knew what he did was wrong and after his little tussle with the stranger he learned his lesson.
"Symphony?" She heard a voice say.
She looked up, and once she saw who it was her eyes widened. In an instant her chest became tight and her hand shook as she took in the sight before her. The man looked down at her then at Angel before looking back at her. She could see the wheels turning in his head as he tried to process the sight in front of him. "Hi little man, are you okay?" The man said crouching down as well.
