A,N: Hello my dear readers and welcome to an extra chapter I didn't even know should exist before I was actually writing it. I was actually going for Kite and Quinton's duel with the last member of the fearsome 4, but oh well. We will save that for the next one. This chapter is very interesting in my opinion. A lot of things are happening around and with Zaira. I hope you will find interesting and that the titel fits. It is not as long as my usual chapters but hope you will like it anyhow. I want to give out a shout out to my friend JessicaMGarcia4 for the help with this chapter. Could not have done it without her. With further ado have fun reading.
Kite's p.o.v.
Kite was not sure what was going on here. He was not sure at all. Why in the world was he here floating in the middle of the sky several feet above the clouds? It made no sense. Was this a dream? All he remembered was that he had been on a recon mission at Xinglong's request. Had he dozed off somehow? That said he had never seen anything so beautiful in his entire life. The view he was having was like watching thousand sunsets. The colors, blue, red, and golden were all placed in this perfect nuance together and were properly the real reason this view was so breathtaking. In the horizon he could even see this palace showered in those same colors. It itself added to this beautiful view too. Kite went thoughtful for a bit as he wondered if he should go near this view palace. Was this the reason he was here?
"No. You cannot enter my home dear one. The barrier prevents you from entering. All it will do is hurt yourself, and that I do not wish upon you" a voice then suddenly said and surprised Kite big time. He was frantically looking around for anyone or anything really.
"Calm yourself dear one. If I had wished to harm you, you would have been dead already" The voice then spoke again.
It took some seconds for Kite to realize this person or being was reading his mind. None of the things it answered were things he had voiced out after all. Dread did fill him, but at the same time Kite tried to remain cool and collected. He was after all having some pride with him.
"Who are you?!" He instead demanded "Show yourself!".
"As you wish dear one, but I recall that you close your eyes first. It is a safety precaution" the voice spoke and made Kite very suspicious.
He usually didn't trust anyone at first glance. Maybe not even a second time, but in this case, Kite had to. There was just something about this place that spoke to him, and deep down inside his soul, he knew this being was not lying. He had a feeling if he didn't close his eyes something terrible would happen. Kite therefore did just that. He closed his eyes. A blinding light emitted around him. He could even see and sense it with closed eyes. Had he not closed his eyes, he was sure he was blind now. That was how powerful it was.
"Open your eyes dear one. Carefully" The voice then said in a soft tone.
Kite nodded as he slowly did open his eyes and were face to face with... Kite was staring. The mental image burning inside his mind so vividly, Kite was sure he would remember this forever. However, even so, Kite would never ever be able to describe it. He was still not sure what he was actually looking at. It took him several minutes to even manage a sentence, and when he did his voice was hoarse. Like rough sandpaper.
"What..." he swallowed a bit of spit before continuing "What... in the world are you?".
"You already know, dear one".
"Are you...?".
"Yes" the voice cut him off with and sent him a smile "My name is XXXXXX".
