I awoke in the bed with Cora pressed against me. Still find it odd that her eyes flashed hot pink momentarily. I reached for my phone before seeing tons of missed calls and messages. I furrowed my brow before reading that they were all from my dad. I opened the text messages to see that he was asking where I was, that I need to get home immediately, he needed help, and that he was in trouble.
My eyes slowly widened before I listened to the voicemails and listened to his voice. He was in trouble. "Stiles, where the hell are you?! Answer your goddamn phone!!" Dad spat before a gunshot went off.
Next voicemail.
"Stiles, I don't know how much longer I can last. They keep coming. Please...for the love of god...answer the phone." Dad said out of breath. "No." I whispered sitting up slowly with wide eyes.
Next voicemail.
"Stiles? Hey...uh...I just wanted to say...that I love you son. And that you are the very best of us all..." He sounded panting. "I know that Scott killed Lydia...but you can't...you can't...let that change you." He said through labored breaths while mine began to pick up pace, my heart pounding as I got out of the bed quickly.
Next voicemail.
"Hey Stiles...you probably won't get this...but uh...you be good to that Hale girl, you hear me? Don't let her go. That kind of love...doesn't come very often." He said as I listened to his fading heartbeat.
I hung up the voicemail before immediately dialing. "Pick up. Pick up. Pick up. Pick up. PICK UP!" I rambled. "Hey, this Sheriff Stilinski. And if I don't answer you either it's because it's my day off. Or I don't want to. But uh, if this call has something to do about a little delinquent named Stiles...let me deal with him." The message stated. "Pick up the goddamn phone." I spat stubbornly before redialing. Only to have the voice message begin. I called over and over only to receive the same thing. "OH GOD! ANSWER YOUR FUCKING PHONE! PLEASE!" I shouted startling Cora from her sleep. "What's wrong?" She asked immediately rising to her feet throwing my sweatshirt over herself as I listened to the newest voicemail....from the Beacon Hills Police Department. It was Parrish. The phone slipped from my trembling hand before I fell to my knees.
"Stiles? Hey, hey, hey! What's wrong, baby? Answer me. What happened?" Cora asked extremely concerned dropping to the ground beside me holding my face searching my eyes. "My—he's—my—" I muttered. "Baby, I can't hear you." Cora said. "M-my—my dad...he's..." I stuttered before I started to hyperventilate. "He's...I can't...no...it's not...he can't..." I rambled before Cora's furrowed brows immediately unfurrowed reaching a conclusion and pulled me into a hug. "Oh my god." She muttered holding me close before I began to sob. "He's dead." I croaked. "I can't—He's—no." I started. "Shh. It's okay, baby. It's okay. Shh." Cora sounded holding me closer.
