Y/n POV

"Thank you, but why did you feel the need to push me in the fountain?" You couldn't help but laugh even though you were shaking from both nerves and the cold fountain water.

"I'm sorry," Quackity laughed as well, "it was the first thing that came to mind. I panicked."

"You panicked?" You smiled as Quackity helped you out of the fountain. "But in all seriousness, thank you."

"Well, you're welcome. I guess I'm not heading into the community today. I need to make sure Sam doesn't come back with any ideas." Quackity patted his horse on the back and picked up the reins.

"Do you think he will come back?" A shiver was sent down your spine as a small breeze passed through the country.

"I don't know. I truly don't know. All I do know is I won't let anything happen to you..."

You felt safe with Quackity. He's always had your back when you needed him, and you always had his.

You froze in your position as your touched the wet stitches in your face.

"Quackity, my stitches." You ran your fingers down the closed wound. "Is my face bleeding?"

"No, it's not bleeding. I think it's about time to take them out anyway." Quackity chuckled with his response, feeling the stitches himself.

"Do you know how to take stitches out?" You asked, dabbing the water off your cheeks.

Quackity pulled on one of the stitches, "No, do you?"

"No." You laughed. "I guess we can figure it out."

You were paranoid for the next two days. Every movement made around Las Nevadas caused you to jump in fear. As time went on, you felt comfortable again in the walls of Quackity's house.

"Do you want to help me build something?" Quackity peaked his head into your room. You were still asleep as the time neared one in the afternoon.

"Huh?" You sluggishly sat up and rubbed your eye.

"I'm going to work on the smaller casino building on the other side of the space needle, do you want to help?" He gently leaned up against the doorway where he had before.

"Uhm, sure." You yawned with your response. "Let me get dressed and I will meet you over there?"

A huge smile formed on his face. "Sounds like a plan."

After getting dressed for the day, you began your walk to build site Quackity told you about. As you left the house, you noticed a figure wandering over by the small garden you had sat in days before.

"Hey, Quack, I will be right back. I think Ghostbur is here again!" You called, catching Quackity's attention after arriving to the build area. Quackity nodded as he placed another block, wiping the sweat forming on his forehead.

You ran across Las Nevadas over to where Ghostbur was. You approached him as he dipped his fingers into the small fish pond, trying to pet one of the bright orange koi fish.

"I'm not sure if they like to be touched." You smiled, watching your brother reach for another fish.

"Well, have you ever tried?" He responded as he focused on the pond.

"I guess not." You laughed. "What are you doing back here?"

"I needed to talk to you, but I couldn't quite remember where you were... but I found you!" Ghostbur gave you a quick hug.

"What is it? What do you need to talk about?" You sat down on the small wooden bench, motioning Ghostbur to sit as well. Your heart began to race as Ghostbur spoke.
