Chapter 60: Vent Boy Makes an Entrance

"I'm not wearing that!" he protests.

"But we made it especially for you. Everyone else is wearing one"

"Zart isn't" Gally points out.

"Cuz we don't like Zart the Fart!" Chuck folds his arms. "She meant for the people we do like"

"Exactly. And you're on the list of people we like"

"Oh, so I've been demoted from you loving me to you just liking me how?" Gally raises an eyebrow.

"No! Gal!" I laugh, jokingly punching his arm. "Just wear it, slinthead"

"Not gonna happen"

"Pleeeaaase" Chuck does puppy dog eyes.

"That won't convince me" Gally's stubborn, which is going to make this difficult. I do puppy dog eyes too, and I see Gally starts to consider it.

"N- no. I'm not- you can't convince me!"

I force a tear out of my eye. "You caused this" I point to the tear.

"I know you just made yourself cry to make me feel guilty" Damn, he's good. He saw right through me.

"Fine. No cuddles tonight. Or kisses. Or- y'know what, I'm just gonna ignore you. C'mon, Chuck, let's go"

"No! Liv-" He sighs heavily. "I'll wear it" he says, finally caving in.

"Yay!" I celebrate, putting the crown on him and kissing his lips sweetly. "Thank you"

"Just to be clear, I'm doing this for you and only you, ok?"

"Not even Chuck?" I raise an eyebrow.

"Fine. I'm wearing this for you and Chuck, but I'm wearing it out of protest and want it to be known that I was forced into this"

"Ok, moody-pants" I tease. "Now come on, it's time for the group photo!"

"Pho- No!"

"Please? For me?" I loop my arms around his neck and kiss him again.

"Fine" he grumbles.

I smile and lead Gally to where everyone is. Zart agreed to take the photo (however Alby probably forced him), and everyone stands close together. Gally picks me up piggy-back-style and I wrap my arms around his neck tightly, but not tight enough that it would strangle him. I rest my chin on his shoulder, whispering 'I love you'.

Chuck and Ella stand next to us, hugging, while Newt puts an arm around Alby and Thomas. Fry and Winston are standing back-to-back, arms crossed, and Minho crouches on the floor in front of everyone, doing a 'cool' pose. Clint and Jeff are also hugging, and everyone has a giant smile on their face.

Zart takes a few photos, then gives me the camera.

"Thanks, Zart the Fa- I mean Zart" Everyone gathers round to look at the pictures.

In the first one, everyone is normal, in the second one we're all pulling a goofy face and in the third one we're back to smiling but I'm kissing Gally's cheek. In the fourth one, I'm falling off Gally and everyone turns and looks at me, shocked, and in the fifth and final one, I'm on the floor and everyone is laughing at me.

I wake up, feeling much more sad and lonely than I was previously. Gally, Chuck and Ella were all cruelly torn from my life. It wasn't fair. At least they were all together now, in heaven. Maybe they were watching over me, seeing how I'm doing.
