Names~ [Akaashi x Reader]

"(Y/N)-chan~," Kuroo sang as he walked to (Y/N) carrying empty water bottles.

(Y/N) was staring off as she usually did when Akaashi was practicing. She was staring off at him.

"Ugh, (Y/N), you need to do your manager duties," Kuroo said bluntly while waving a hand in front of her face.

The manager was startled by Kuroo and quickly apologized while taking the water bottles. She walked outside to refill them.

As she was unscrewing the tops off and turning on the water, (Y/N) heard the door swing open. She turned her head in that direction to find Akaashi.

"Do you need any help Akaashi?" (Y/N) asked as she kept filling the water bottles up.

"No, I don't, darling. But I was wondering if you could meet me after practice near the cafeteria tonight," Akaashi said.

"Yea, I can," (Y/N) said with a smile.

(Y/N) picked up the last volleyball and put it in the cart with the rest of the other volleyballs. She looked around the gym that she was in and saw a few players taking breaks from their own practice. (Y/N) left the gym and headed towards the rooms.

She thought she had time before meeting up with Akaashi; she knew she needed time before meeting up with Akaashi. (Y/N) had butterflies erupting from her stomach. Even if she knew that it wasn't about him confessioning her love to her, she wanted it to be true. Maybe she has been watching too much shojo anime with Oikawa.

(Y/N) opened the doors and headed towards the room where the managers were sleeping. She walked into the room, to find it empty which was normal at that time.

She went straight for her bed and fell face first to her pillow softly and carefully. Her mind ran through all the possible things that Akaashi would want to talk to her about. Her mind never crossed over the thought that he could be confessing to her.

(Y/N) heard the door open, she didn't care to pull her head up and see who it was. She heard the footsteps of the person and then felt tapping on her shoulder, "Are you alive (L/N)?" The person asked.

(Y/N) shook her head and said  into the pillow, "Are you the goddess that is here to take me to heaven?"

The person giggled and said, "No, I'm not here to take your dead body to heaven again."

(Y/N) lifted up her head to see Kiyoko, "Oh, hey Kiyoko."

"Hello (L/N). I thought you were dead."

"I hoped I was for a bit too, but I'm all good now," (Y/N) said with a smile.

"What's going on? Does it have to do with that second year setter on your team?" Kiyoko asked.

(Y/N) sighed in defeat, it never came to her that anyone, other than Kuroo could see what was going on between Akaashi and her. "Kinda. I like him, Kuroo says it's super obvious. But he wants to talk with me later, but I don't think that he likes me."

Kiyoko shook her head at her fellow manager. "I thought you were smarter (L/N). By what I see that goes on between you guys, he likes you. Calling you darling in front of everyone, I don't think that's for nothing."

(Y/N) smiled at Kiyko and hugged her, "Awww thank you for that Kiyoko-senpai."

"You need to stop hanging out with Tanaka and Noya."

"I disagree."

Akaashi waited patiently outside of the cafeteria for (Y/N) to come to meet with him. He didn't think of how he was going to tell her, he knew how, he just didn't know how she would react.

He saw her walking towards him and smiled at her. "You took quite a long time, darling," he said still with a smile.

"Oh, sorry. I was talking with someone," (Y/N) said while looking away from him.

"Don't worry."

There was a pause. Akaashi now, in the moment of it, doesn't know what to say. Akaashi looked up at the dark sky which was lit up by the stars. "Well knowing Kuroo, he has probably been teasing you about me."

"What?! That little rooster head. No no, he hasn't been saying anything about us," (Y/N) said quickly.

Akaashi looked at her and smiled. "Darling, Kuroo told me. You don't need to ramble."

(Y/N) turned red. She thought about what she had to do. Leave the country and change her identity.

"I do too though, darling." Akaashi said softly to her.

"Uh?" (Y/N) awkwardly said after being pulled out of her train of thought.

"I like you too, my darling," Akaashi says before leaning towards her and kissing her cheek.
